Making a bicycle mofff for your hands when you have to cycle.
The cold weather is coming along aswell as rain, heavy dutch rain.
The sign that fall arrived. I don’t hate it but the kids have to bicycle to school and cold hands are not what they like.
So I took a hat with fake furry fabric and made moffs.
Moffs fr hands on the bicycle steering wheel.
I cut it in half so I have two pieces to make two moffs, or gloves from.
Take the hat apart, in half.
You pin it in the shape and size needed. The fact that this are small hands made it fit easy. If you have to make adult ones, make the tunnel bigger not per se longer. I will do a tutorial of a bigger size when it’s there. I will make it for winter. First the kids.
Simple two pieces with pins, and all that was needed was scissors and a hat. The hat was already padded, so that is what I recommend.
In between I tried to fit it on the bike handle just to make sure it would fit.
The opening needs to be a bit bigger than the end of the hand handle.
The lock machine will do the stitching easy and quick.
And will leave a great closing.
The round end needs to stay open.
But in the end that is closed aswell.
When it’s finished it looks like two gloves without fingers.
This will take about 30 minutes to make.
And a clip to attach them together.

Yes we have rain and snow but the flakes don’t last , yes we dutchies a;ways ride a bike

Hey! You have a talent for these things, they look great on you. I wish I had sewing skills, but every time I pick up a sewing machine I end up annoyed because nothing fits and I have to unpick and I find it terrible. All in all, I lack a lot of patience to try.
