Verán, aprendí a bordar en Mayo del 2020, para poder subirme el ánimo durante la cuarentena. Desde entonces he estado constantemente animándome a mejorar cada día y variar los proyectos. A continuación veremos algunas comparaciones antes/después sobre cómo he mejorado poco a poco mi habilidad para bordar.

Today I want to participate in an initiative started by @irenenavarroart About our improvements in our skills. Even though no one invited me, I take the boldness to do it since I want to share my progress in this community ♥
You see, I learned to embroider in May 2020, in order to get my spirits up during quarantine. Since then I have been constantly encouraging myself to improve every day and vary projects. Below we'll see some before/after comparisons on how I've slowly improved my embroidery skills.
Ya para la segunda imagen, sabía sobre hilos, tenía más material adecuado y había aprendido la maravilla de bordar con una o dos hebras, lo delicado que quedaba el trabajo. También había mejorado mucho la orientación de las puntada para agregarle un poco de realidad a el bordado.
By the second image, I knew about threads, I had more suitable material and I had learned the wonder of embroidering with one or two strands, how delicate the work was. I had also improved my stitch orientation to add a bit of reality to the embroidery.
En la segunda imagen pueden ver que ya uso hilos más delgados, manejo mejor el rellenar parte grandes y pongo más detalles en el trabajo (Flores y esas cosas).
In the second picture you can see that I'm using thinner threads, I'm better at filling in large parts and I'm putting more details in the work (flowers and stuff).
Pasamos a mi parte favorita, ¡Las flores! Es lo que más se suele hacer en los bordados, y eso me fascina 😊 🌼
En la primera fotos pueden apreciar mi primer bordado, un tapabocas hecho a mano para mi mamá (me gusta mucho regalar cosas hechas por mi, a pesar de que luego crean que quedaron feas, es mi forma de expresar amor), para ese entonces sólo sabía hacer la puntada Margarita para hacer flores. Curiosamente, no lo hice con hilo crochet como hacía en esa época si no con hilo de coser.
La segunda foto es de un bordado que hice hace unos días (y compartí en @needleworkmonday). Ya hoy en día vario las formas de realizar flores, y conozco varias puntadas para hacerlas, acompañadas por su puesto de follaje, hojas y pequeños detalles 💕
Let's move on to my favorite part, the flowers! It's the most common thing to do in embroidery, and that fascinates me 😊 🌼
In the first picture you can see my first embroidery, a handmade mouthpiece for my mom (I really like to give things made by me, even though later they think they were ugly, it's my way of expressing love), at that time I only knew how to do the Margarita stitch to make flowers. Curiously, I didn't do it with crochet thread as I did at that time, but with sewing thread.
The second photo is of an embroidery I did a few days ago (and shared on @needleworkmonday). Nowadays there are several ways to make flowers, and I know several stitches to make them, accompanied by foliage, leaves and small details 💕
Maybe this comparison does not show much progress, but for me it does, since needle paiting is a technique that I have been practicing these last months and that I want very much to improve it. They are only a month apart, but at least I see a difference in the choice of colors and the direction of the stitches creates a more noticeable depth effect. The improvement is small but it is there, and that is comforting.

Ahora tocaré un tema del cuál me avergüenzo un poco. Este bordado lo hice para San Valentin, traté de seguir una foto mía y de mi pareja y el resultado fue... Bueno, lo pueden ver ustedes mismos. Al final no se lo regalé a mi pareja y quedé frustrada, pero bueno, con el tiempo uno va mejorando, ¿No?FEB 2021
The last and biggest comparison:
Now I will touch on a subject of which I am a little ashamed. This embroidery I did for Valentine's Day, I tried to follow a picture of me and my partner and the result was.... Well, you can see for yourselves. In the end I didn't give it to my partner and I was frustrated, but well, with time you get better, right?
Luego tenemos este bordado que realicé para el reto de "Tease us!". Se nota la mejora cuando se trata de seguir una foto o dibujo. La cosa es que poco a poco voy mejorando mis habilidades para dibujar, además de que ahora usi mejores telas que no se estiran y terminan dañando el bordado.

¿Qué si siento que he mejorado? Pues sí, hay algunas cosas en las que siento que he avanzado muy lento, pero tendré paciencia. Quisiera seguir mejorando en el needle paiting y crear diseños que sean coloridos, que sean llamativos y con muchos detalles (¡y flores!).
Do I feel that I have improved? Well, yes, there are some things that I feel I've made very slow progress on, but I'll be patient. I would like to keep improving in needle paiting and create designs that are colorful, eye-catching and with lots of details (and flowers!).

Estoy enamorada de tus bordados, bordar siempre ha sido como una meta que me falta por cumplir, solo lo he hecho para los ojos de los amigurumis y cosas muy pequeñas, pero por ejemplo para el trabajo final de grado yo hice un cuadro completamente tejido inspirándome en el el needlepainting asi que en el proceso de investigación me quede enamorada de las obras de arte bordadas, entonces cuando vi tu ultimo trabajo quedé como que aahhhhhh lo amo!!!! eres muy talentosa y haz mejorado mucho en muy poco tiempo.
