Hola chicos y chicas de esta hermosa familia #Needleworkmonday, espero que hayan tenido un feliz fin de semana y que esta semana que inicia de sea de mucho beneficio para todos. Por acá por mi humilde hogar todo está muy tranquilo, este fin de semana estuvimos pintando y acomodando un poco la casa para pronto poder decorar con la magia de la navidad.
Pero mientras los días pasan y los planes se aproximan yo me tomé la tarde de este domingo para iniciar un proyecto que tenía pensado desde hace tiempo; se trata de una linda muñeca, ¡Muy sencilla! ¡Es verdad! pero para mí es la muñeca más hermosa que una niña podría tener.
Esta hermosa muñeca se lo voy a regalar simbólicamente a "Carolina" esa tierna niña de vestido de flores, con su cara llena de pecas que se crio en el campo y fue feliz. Ustedes dirán que estoy loca, pero la verdad es que cuando comencé armar este proyecto solo me acordaba de mí cuando era niña. Recordaba como jugaba en las tardes escondida entre el jardín de mi madre, como le hacía vestidos a mis muñecas hechas con las ramas de café. Definitivamente fui feliz y hoy me dedico este post a mí.

Materiales que utilicè
Como ven es una muñeca muy básica así que no van a gastar mucho material; por ser la primera tiene muchos detalles, pero a medida que iba avanzando trataba de tomar nota en todo para que cuando vaya a realizar las próximas que quiero hacer me queden mucho mejor.
Esta muñeca consta de figuras geométricas, es decir, triángulos y rectángulos y círculos; también utilicé un poco de relleno, un hilo para tejer gorro y guantes y una lana escolar para el cabello.
Paso a paso
Lo primero que hice fue cortar todas las partes; les voy a dar las medidas que yo utilicè pero recuerden que ustedes pueden sacar su propio patrón.
La combinación de telas es a tu gusto, a mí me encanta esta de flores tipo country, con esta tela de rayas para las medias, me hizo recordar la película "Yo antes de ti" excelente película, los que la han visto saben de qué hablo.
Paso a paso fui recortando cada pieza, la verdad fue más de ensayo y error, esta muñeca solamente la había visto en pintores y de allí me quedó la idea de que era fácil de hacer. Pero sin un patrón en las manos para guiarme me toco sacar el ingenio y la creatividad para aproximarme lo más posible al modelo original.
Luego uní las costuras, voltee y cosí las piernas y los brazos a la parte frontal del vestido. Hay que observar que los brazos queden inclinados hacia abajo para que tengan una mejor caída. A mí me gusta bastear las piezas con aguja e hilo primero.
Enfrenté derecho con derecho del cuerpo, fijé con los alfileres para luego pasar costura recta en mi máquina de coser por todo el borde, voltee, rellene y seguí uniendo cada detalle hasta finalizar.
Con el perdón de los pintores pido disculpas por estos ojos de mi muñeca, pero la verdad no se pintar con pinceles, creo que tengo que practicar esta parte una y otra vez. Pero en fin, quedé feliz, satisfecha de haberme tomado la tarde de este domingo y parte del lunes para elaborar este proyecto.
Lo mejor de todo fue que me sentí bien, me sentí tranquila y feliz; recordé muchos momentos de mi infancia, recordé cada uno de mis vestidos, a las señoras que amablemente los hicieron, a mi madre cuando iba de compras a las tiendas de tela en Cúcuta- Colombia y recordé también cada uno de esos momentos en que los use. Así eran mis vestidos, llenos de muchas flores, nunca los olvidaré.
Bien amigas preciosas, hasta aquí mi manualidad de hoy, gracias una vez más por abrir estos espacios donde uno puede traer sueños e ilusiones acompañados de una hermosa manualidad. Hello boys and girls of this beautiful #Needleworkmonday family, I hope you have had a happy weekend and that this week that begins is of much benefit to all. Here in my humble home everything is very quiet, this weekend we were painting and arranging a little bit the house to soon be able to decorate with the magic of Christmas.
But while the days go by and the plans are getting closer I took this Sunday afternoon to start a project that I had been thinking about for a long time; it is a beautiful doll, very simple, it is true, but for me it is the most beautiful doll that a girl could have.
I am going to give this beautiful doll symbolically to "Carolina", that tender little girl in a flower dress, with her face full of freckles, who grew up in the countryside and was happy. You will say that I am crazy, but the truth is that when I started this project I only remembered myself as a child. I remembered how I used to play in the afternoons hiding in my mother's garden, how I used to make dresses for my dolls made with coffee branches. I was definitely happy and today I dedicate this post to me.
Materials I used
As you can see it is a very basic doll so you will not spend a lot of material; for being the first one has many details, but as I went along I tried to take notes on everything so that when I go to make the next ones I want to do they will be much better.
This doll consists of geometric figures, that is, triangles and rectangles and circles; I also used some stuffing, a yarn to knit hat and gloves and a school yarn for the hair.
Step by step
The first thing I did was cut out all the parts; I'm going to give you the measurements I used but remember you can draw your own pattern.
The combination of fabrics is up to your taste, I love this country style floral one, with this striped fabric for the stockings, it reminded me of the movie "Me before you" excellent movie, those who have seen it know what I'm talking about.
Step by step I was cutting out each piece, the truth was more trial and error, this doll had only seen it in painters and from there I had the idea that it was easy to do. But without a pattern in my hands to guide me I had to use my ingenuity and creativity to get as close as possible to the original model.
Then I joined the seams, turned and sewed the legs and arms to the front of the dress. Make sure that the arms are tilted down so that they have a better drape. I like to baste the pieces with needle and thread first.
I faced right sides to right sides of the bodice, pinned then ran straight stitching on my sewing machine all the way around the edge, flipped, stuffed and continued to join each detail until finished.
With the painters' pardon I apologize for these eyes of my doll, but the truth is I don't know how to paint with brushes, I think I have to practice this part again and again. But anyway, I was happy, satisfied to have taken this Sunday afternoon and part of Monday to elaborate this project.
The best of all was that I felt good, I felt calm and happy; I remembered many moments of my childhood, I remembered each of my dresses, the ladies who kindly made them, my mother when she went shopping to the fabric stores in Cúcuta- Colombia and I also remembered each of those moments when I wore them. That's how my dresses were, full of many flowers, I will never forget them.

Qué bonita Carolina, me recuerdan a unas muñecas de trapos que mis padres nos compraron a mi hermana y a mi cuando eramos pequeñas y fuimos una vez de vacaciones a Cumaná. En la carretera vendían muchas muñecas de trapo.
Las muñecas de trapo son muy lindas y hoy hacen bellezas, de todos tamaños y colores. la infancia es la mejor etapa de nuestras vidas, que bueno que tengas esos recuerdos, estoy segura te hacen feliz.
No es por nada pero está muy linda. Usted puede sacar una colección de muñecas, porque de verdad parece una de colección. Por otro lado, viví un tiempo en el campo y nada se compara con esa felicidad. ¡Buenas vibras!.
