in NeedleWorkMonday2 years ago

Hey guys

Good morning everyone in this great community, I am @chtisty01 which I deals on sewing female dresses. Today is Monday I am sharing with you all a needlework tutorial on how to make this beautiful gown shown below;

MEASUREMENTS

Shoulder17
Bust38
Under bust length14
Under bust width30
Half length15
Round sleeve12
Half rim11
Hip40
Full length53

upper part
Starting from the upper part of the dress (front side) since our bust length is 40 and now divided it by two and I have 19 and add 8inch for seam allowance. After that I now mark out my bust line where I have my nipple point and also the under bust then I cut it out

I now cut the lining the way I cut the material, the next one is the breast pads, and using soft wooden

I now sew it and here is the outcome

The next thing is to put the lining and turn it

back upper side
Since our bust measurement 40, we now divided it into 4 with material folded into 2, then mark out the bust line, the shoulder, armhole and have length. The half length is 15 Plus 1inch seam allowanc ie 16inches ,after taking out 1½ inches for zip, I took my accurate bust measurement and added 2½ inches for dart and sewing allowance, same thing goes to the shape measurement, then I cut it out

the down part
The full length is 53, we now minus 15inches which is the upper part and the add 2inched seam allowance and that give us 28½ inches, then take the accurate shape measurement and also add 2½ inches for dart and seam allowance, the same thing goes to hip after taking the accurate hip measurement then cut it out, both from and back.

And also cut the lining same way we cut the material

After that I now join the up and down of both from and back together

the hand

I am using this net for my hand

IMG-20220423-WA0006.jpg

Hand length is 15 inches plus 2 inches Sean allowance. The round sleeve measurement is 12½ and I added 1½ inches for seam allowance and cut it out

Then I sew it

Then I attached the hand to the dress and join it together and shape it out with exact measurements I work with and attach a slide small pepulm to it

Then I iron it to bring out the beauty in it. This is what I achieve

Dear @christy01, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
