Quando ho iniziato questo post ero indecisa se rivelare subito il risultato del mio lavoro, oppure lasciare ancora un po' in sospeso per permettere di seguire con me la nascita di questo Arcobaleno di colori. La scelta alla fine è stata quella di lasciare la scoperta alla fine e vedere i vari passaggi della lavorazione.
When I started this post I was undecided whether to reveal the result of my work right away, or to leave it a little more in suspense to allow you to follow with me the birth of this Rainbow of colors. The choice in the end was to leave the discovery to the end and see the various steps of the process.

Come ho detto nelle risposte ai vari commenti nell'altro post, ho creato un doudou in lana merino extrasottile, per un'associazione di volontariato che si chiama Cuore di Maglia.
Ma cosa è un doudou?
E' un oggetto fatto con un materiale qualunque, che viene regalato ad un bambino per fargli compagnia e dargli protezione, un po' come la famosa coperta di Linus di Snoopy.
La lavorazione è stata tutta a mezza maglia alta, anche i piccoli tentacoli sono mezze maglie alte all'interno di una lunga catenella
As I mentioned in the responses to various comments in the other post, I created an extra-thin merino wool doudou for a charity called Knitted Heart.
But what is a doudou?
It is an object made of any material, which is given to a child to keep him company and give him protection, a bit like the famous Linus' blanket of Snoopy.
The work was all half double crochets, even the small tentacles are half double crochets inside a long chain stitch.

You had me with tentacles :-DDD (I am working on an art project which involves some creatures with tentacles…) But joking aside: love your doudou. I never heard of this name but I remember that especially premature born babies could be comforted with toys which have tentacles, so some crochet octopuses for these small babies and give them to hospitals. YOur twist on this is fabulous, a kind of rainbow with tiny tentacle curls. Very special
