[ITA/ENG] Una sorpresa a colori/A colorful surprise

in NeedleWorkMonday3 years ago

Alcuni giorni fa mi sono imbattuta in una challenge che ha attirato immediatamente la mia attenzione e subito mi sono detta Devo partecipare!

A few days ago I came across a challenge that immediately caught my attention and I immediately said to myself I must participate!

The first thing to look for when starting a project is.... the ball of yarn! Nothing could be easier! Out of a bag placed in a corner came a few whole balls of yarn and other scraps of color. They are extra-fine merino wool balls that I use for items to give to charity. In practice, an association spread throughout Italy creates hats, shoes, covers and doudou for babies born prematurely and I thought of them for this challenge.

Ed ora veniamo agli strumenti di lavoro... marcapunti, ago da lana, uncinetti e le immancabili istruzioni su come trasformare tanti fili in un qualcosa di unico, ma fatto con amore!

And now we come to the working tools ... markers, wool needle, crochet hooks and the inevitable instructions on how to transform so many threads into something unique, but made with love!

Bene, ora che tutto il necessario è presente, possiamo iniziare a lavorare!! Uno splendido oggetto ricco di colori andrà a fare la gioia di un bambino.

Well, now that everything you need is present, we can get to work!!! A beautiful object full of colors will go to the delight of a child.

Avviatura del lavoro fatta con catenelle chiuse a cerchio e primi giri a mezze maglie alteBeginning of the work done with closed chains in a circle and first rounds with half double crochets.

I love that you are making such ovely project for charity, this is so thoughtful and helpful. But to be honest I am not sure I can guess right what you are crocheting... YOu are starting with a circle, but it is not completely closed, so perhaps not a cap... hmmmm.... I am really curious (by the way I think you are using the same brand of crochet hooks I also love so much: clover amour?)

You're absolutely right about one thing, it's not a hat :)
I'd like to give you a hint...it's composed of multiple parts that need to be sewn together.
These crochet hooks are gorgeous, I love them :) I got them online, so they are probably the same :P

I love these charity projects, they are so motivating and loving, just the thought that it will be for children is really touching.

I think it will be a toy.

Regards

Not really a toy, but you are on the right street

Oooh hmm, I'm going to guess that you are making a hat? :)

no, it's not a hat. maybe the next project will be a hat ;)

I am intrigued! what will it be?
I hope for next Monday...

I'm working too hard to complete it for Monday. I hope you like the result.

It’s very generous of you to make items for charity. I really love that the results of this yet unknown project will be given to a child.

Hmmmm, I’m familiar with needlers making knitted and crocheted octopus toys for preemies which replicate them being inside the womb…so that’s my guess :)

We shall await to see!! Thanks for entering ~

Even in Italy there are associations that give octopuses to children in the hospital.
This will not be a octopus, but it has the same purpose :)

I am not sure what you are making but I am sure it is going to be soft to hold :) Love the blue and soft yellow color combination. Will you be making a toy? So exciting to see what comes next Monday :)

I'll help you... it's a doudou :)

😍 teddy bear? I actually have not heard of a doudou but I searched online :D

It is good that you were able to participate. Well, I don't know much about knitting so it's a bit difficult for me to guess what it is ... I can think of a kind of doll ... but I'm not entirely sure either 😂.
