Lamentablemente los techos de mi casa siguen con los hoyitos por lo que me toca secar y pasar coleto diariamente, lo cual no es malo porque así hago ejercicios 😁
Iniciando esta semana con la presentación de un lindo PORTA CELULAR que tejí a petición de la abuela para mi ahijada. Ella es una adolescente muy particular y linda. Resulta que en el liceo donde estudia se ha puesto de moda andar con los teléfonos guardados en un estuche que se guinda en el cuerpo. A ella le está gustando ese estilo y su abuela me pidió que le tejiera uno del color de la camisa del uniforme. Aquí en Venezuela para ir a clases en diversificado, los estudiantes deben usar franela color kaki y pantalón azul marino.

Unfortunately the roofs of my house still have holes in them, so I have to dry them and pass the leaflet daily, which is not a bad thing because this way I get some exercise 😁.
Starting this week with the presentation of a cute CELL PHONE CARRIER that I knitted at grandma's request for my goddaughter. She is a very particular and cute teenager. It turns out that in the high school where she studies it has become fashionable to walk around with phones stored in a case that stitches to the body. She is liking this style and her grandmother asked me to knit her one in the color of the uniform shirt. Here in Venezuela to go to classes in diversified, students must wear khaki flannel and navy blue pants.
Para hacer este porta celular utilicé uno de los hilos que me regaló mi hijo a principios de año. Quizá los recuerdan. Este vino en madejas y después entre mi hijo menor y yo lo enrollamos en un palito con la ayuda de un aparato con un motorcito que él inventó para tal fin.
Fueron tres madejas y las tres las pasamos enrolladas para un palito de madera. Ahora con ese que ven color kaki tejí el porta celular.
To make this cell phone holder I used one of the yarns my son gave me earlier this year. You may remember them. It came in skeins and then my youngest son and I wound it onto a stick with the help of a device with a little motor that he invented for that purpose.
There were three skeins and all three were rolled up on a wooden stick. Now with this khaki colored stick I knitted the cell phone holder.
Elegí este modelo porque se ve bastante cómodo. Me gustó mucho tejer con este hilo, es grueso y muy suave. Es 100% algodón. Usé la aguja de crochet de 3,25mm. Dos argollas de metal (medias argollas). Una decoración laminada. Tijeras. Aguja lanera. Pegamento.
Este modelo se inicia tomando el ancho del teléfono. A esa medida se le suman dos puntos más. Se comienza a tejer en puntos bajos solo la primera vuelta y enseguida se suben con puntos medios altos hasta lograr la medida deseada.
Yo decidí hacerle a este porta celular un bolsillo adicional para guardar tarjetas o billetes. Por lo que además de la medida doble de tejido que necesito para cubrir el teléfono también tejí unas vueltas más para obtener el espacio donde irá la tarjeta. El cual como ven también deber ser en número duplicado porque también debemos hacer doblés.
I chose this model because it looks quite comfortable. I really liked knitting with this yarn, it is thick and very soft. It is 100% cotton. I used the 3.25mm crochet needle. Two metal loops (half loops). A laminated decoration. Scissors. Wool needle. Glue.
This model starts by taking the width of the phone. Two more stitches are added to this measurement. You start knitting in single crochet only the first round and then go up with medium-high stitches until you reach the desired size.
I decided to make this cell phone holder with an additional pocket to keep cards or bills. So in addition to the double size of fabric I need to cover the phone, I also knitted a few more rows to get the space where the card will go. Which as you can see must also be in duplicate number because we also have to make folds.

Para unir la parte donde irá guardado el 📱 celular, tomé la medida haciendo el doblés y verificando el ancho del teléfono o más bien el volumen que ocupará dentro. Con esa medida, la cual se me hizo súper complicado tomar, tejí una cadena y sobre ellas, por ambos lados, tejí puntos medios altos. Tejí cuatro puntos medios altos en una de las esquinas para lograr la forma semi redonda del doblés. Luego también con algo de dificultad fui cosiendo y uniendo las partes con puntos deslizados.
To join the part where the 📱 cell phone will be stored, I took the measurement by making the fold and verifying the width of the phone or rather the volume it will occupy inside. With that measurement, which was super complicated for me to take, I knitted a chain and over them, on both sides, I knitted medium high stitches. I knitted four medium-high stitches in one of the corners to achieve the semi-round shape of the hem. Then, also with some difficulty, I sewed and joined the parts with slipped stitches.
En la parte de arriba donde hice el bolsillo para la tarjeta también uno los dos laterales con puntos deslizados, empezando a tejer los puntos deslizados desde donde terminé de tejer la unión anterior. Este proceso se hizo cómodamente.
At the top where I made the card pocket I also join the two sides with slipped stitches, starting to knit the slipped stitches from where I finished knitting the previous join. This process was done comfortably.
En otro momento de la madrugada 🥱 me levanté y empecé a tejer el cordón o asa para colgar. Tenía en mente un tipo de tejido, pero quizá el sueño me hizo olvidarlo 🤭 entonces opté por este que también me gusta. Con puntos bajos, seis en total, agregué la media argolla al tejido. Luego subí montando los puntos en el gancho sin pasar la lazada. Después que tenía todos los puntos arriba pasé lazada por el primero y después la fui pasando de dos en dos. Al finalizar pasé el ganchillo por esa hebra que se formó (ver imagen) y volví a montar los puntos sin hacer lazadas, al tenerlos todos fui pasando lazada; una por un solo punto y el resto de dos en dos. Así tejí hasta obtener 1:20cm de cordón, para finalizar estos puntos se van cerrando nirmal como puntos bajos. Al llegar a esa medida agregué la otra media argolla tejiendo puntos bajos.
Another time in the wee hours of the morning 🥱 I got up and started weaving the cord or handle for hanging. This way I knitted until I had 1:20cm of cord, to finish these stitches I closed them as single crochet stitches. When I reached that measure I added the other half ring by knitting low stitches.
Por último, cosí con el mismo hilo y la aguja lanera el cordón desde la argolla en el porta celular, en ambos lados una argolla. Y así se ve de lindo. También le pegué la plaquita decorativa en el frente de la tapa o la solapa. Quiero ponerle un broche imantado, pero tengo que comprarlo. Igual con el peso de esta parte del porta celular 📱 no haría falta colocarle broche. ¿Qué les parece?
Les digo que cada día me enamoro más de los hilos gruesos, el tejido crece súper rápido y las lazadas son muchos más sueltas. La mano no se me cansa casi nada tejiendo con hilos gruesos. Me encantó esta experiencia de tejer con este hilo.
