Hey lovelies ❤️
It's your favorite girl @debbie-ese 😍
Welcome to my blog 🤗

About a week ago, I shared on my blog that I transformed a bust-caging bustier gown into an amazing masterpiece using beads. I want to use this opportunity to say that I appreciate your feedback on that post. Today, I'm thrilled to bring to you another design I made over the week. It is a corset gown made with George fabrics and beaded lace. The beaded lace is part of the fabrics that came with the beaded lace (not that it was bought separately).

George fabrics is that one fabrics that you can use to make a stunning dress that will speak class and luxury. Even though it may be expensive it is worth all the penny you pay to purchase and make the fabric.

So, let me put you through the procedure of designing the bust area and waistline of this beautiful look.

1000227457.jpg

The first thing I did after sewing the gown (I will be sharing the process with you in another post) is to fit it on my mannequin and to place the beaded lace over the chest area. Before I begin to cut out the part of the beaded lace I visualised how the lace will sit over the designated area, that is, the bust and shoulder area.

This step is very important and you must get it right. At this point you must put on your creative hat which will guide the blades of your scissors. I carefully mapped out the areas I want the beaded lace to extend to and how the detailing will bring out the beauty of the dress. Once I was satisfied with my imaginations, I begin to carefully trim the beaded lace accordingly.

Moving forward, I had used pins to carefully hold the lace on the gown to keep it firm. For the shoulder part, I cut out small trimmings that were arranged and pinned down to fill the gaps. You must pay attention to this pinning process very well because it will bring out the beauty of your dress before you gum them together.

It is time to move to the gumming process where the lace will be attached to the George fabric using UHU All Purpose Adhesive. During this process you must be very careful so that you don't ruin your work. Ensure you apply the gum evenly and in moderate quantity so that it won't stain your dress. 1000227594.jpgAlso, you must take it one step at a time so that your work will be neat. More importantly, you must be sure to buy the right type of adhesive that won't leave white stains on your dress. You'd not want to ruin this type of luxurious fabric.

Next, I moved to the waist area and tacked the beaded with needle and thread instead of gum. This made me easily control the curves around the waistline as I was putting the lace fabric on the side of the gown.

The overall process was a fun experience for me and I enjoyed every moment because it allowed me express my creativity. After all the process was completed the final result was stunning and shows so much class and luxury.

Thanks for reading and see you in my next one.
