This was actually first time of Sewing male cloth, I only Basic on female wares alone then I thought of it. If started Giving birth will like be taking my boys cloth outs for other seamlessly to sew when am actually into this fashion of a thing. Giving it a try was not a bad ideas

Before you even think about cutting your fabric for your trouser take precise measurements you must know before you begin.

You may need to take the following measurements:

  • Outside leg. Using a fabric measuring tape, stretch it from the start of the waist over outside of the hip to the ankle.
  • Inside leg. Measure the inside of the leg. Stretch your tape from the groin to the ankle.
  • Hip. Measure the circumference of your hips from the widest point.
  • Thigh. Measure the circumference at the widest point of your thigh.
  • Ankle. Measure the circumference of your ankle, making sure you can get your feet through that measurement.
  • Groin. Measure the distance from the waist band in front (around your navel) to the waistband in back, following the line of your groin.

Accurate measurements are the foundation of well-fitting pants

Process of cutting

Make of this dashiki top for him was simple

Most cases if you want to cut dashiki wares we do fold it together to cut the front and back block on this is actually the same

How to cut the fabric for front I added the length of the sleeves to shoulder it was dansiki top and have to cut it together after determined width then cut out. Moving to the back I will added 3 extra inches to the length of the shoulder lap just as if want to cut a shirt dress.

Proceed to cutting and sewing proper for the top

Fold in into two straight from the shoulder don’t forget am cutting it with sleeves Then I come down by 2.5. For shoulder slide, For the V neck I use 2.5 width and 5 for the depth and from the shoulder I input chest ,waist and length measurements then cut out without cutting neck area and place it to on folded fabric to the back

It looks so nice on him, the fabric looks beautiful also, you did a great job, his smile shows it all, well-done dear.

Sewing really is a complicated thing, Mom can sew, she's a seamstress before she become a baker. It's just cool when she can make something from a plain fabric, just like you, you created a clothes out of it. And it's good that you are also trying different kind of clothes.

Aww, he sure loves his new Danshiki outfit, it looks good on him, thanks for sharing the process with us, well done!

What I liked the most was the grace of the model, I can tell she loved her outfit, I congratulate you.
