WE ARE CHRISTMAS!!
Hello knitting friends, greetings to you, it is a pleasure to be able to participate with all of you in this contest that promises to see many talents flourish.

When the first Christians arrived in northern Europe, they discovered that its inhabitants celebrated the birth of Frey, god of the Sun and fertility, by decorating a non-perennial tree, around the date of present-day Christian Christmas. This tree symbolized the tree of the Universe, called Yggdrasil, in whose crown were Asgard (the abode of the gods) and Valhalla (Odin's palace); and at the deepest roots was Helheim (the realm of the dead). Later with the evangelization of these towns, the converts took the idea of the tree to celebrate the birth of Christ, but totally changing the meaning.
It is said that Saint Boniface (680-754), evangelizer of Germany, took an ax and cut down a tree that represented Yggdrasil (although it could also be a tree consecrated to Thor), and in its place he planted a pine tree, which because it is evergreen , symbolized the love of God, decorating it with apples and candles. The apples symbolized original sin and temptations, while the candles represented the light of Jesus Christ as the light of the world. As time passed, the apples and candles were transformed into spheres, lights, and other decorations.
Later, the tradition of putting gifts for children under the tree was added, sent by Saint Nicholas or also known as Santa Claus (and Father Christmas) or the Three Wise Men, depending on the customs of the area where it is located.
Cuando los primeros cristianos llegaron al norte de Europa, descubrieron que sus habitantes celebraban el nacimiento de Frey, dios del Sol y la fertilidad, adornando un árbol no perenne, en la fecha próxima a la Navidad cristiana de la actualidad. Este árbol simbolizaba al árbol del Universo, llamado Yggdrasil, en cuya copa se hallaba Asgard (la morada de los dioses) y el Valhalla (el palacio de Odín); y en las raíces más profundas estaba Helheim (el reino de los muertos). Posteriormente con la evangelización de esos pueblos, los conversos tomaron la idea del árbol para celebrar el nacimiento de Cristo, pero cambiándole totalmente el significado.
Se dice que San Bonifacio (680-754), evangelizador de Alemania, tomó un hacha y cortó un árbol que representaba al Yggdrasil (aunque también pudo ser un árbol consagrado a Thor), y en su lugar plantó un pino, que por ser perenne, simbolizó el amor de Dios, adornándolo con manzanas y velas. Las manzanas simbolizaban el pecado original y las tentaciones, mientras que las velas representaban la luz de Jesucristo como luz del mundo. Conforme pasaba el tiempo, las manzanas y las velas se transformaron en esferas, luces y otros adornos.
Después se agregó la tradición de poner regalos para los niños bajo el árbol, enviados por San Nicolás o también conocido como Santa Claus (y Papá Noel) o los Reyes Magos, dependiendo de las costumbres de la zona donde se encuentre.

Since the pandemic my mother did not celebrate Christmas, at that time she lost a sister and she had no reason to celebrate, this year I was surprised because I saw her buying scenes and Christmas lights, at home we did not have a tree so I decided to make a table for her this christmas dinner I feel very happy about it.
Desde la pandemia mi mama no celebraba la navidad, en esas fechas perdio una hermana y no tenia motivos para celebrar, este año me sorprendi porque la vi comprando bambalinas y luces de navidad, en casa no teniamos arbolito asi que decidí elaborarle uno de mesa para esta cena de navidad. Me siento muy feliz por ello.

v8: we knit in the back bar 1 half stitch decrease + 6 half stitches until the end of the round

To close the tree we will make decreases throughout the round and at the end we will change to the black thread to raise 2 rounds of half points.

para cerrar el arbol hacermos disminuciones en toda la vuelta y al finalizar cambiaremos al hilo negro para subir 2 vuentas de medios puntos.
Una vez terminado el arbol solo decore con las luces de navidad, algunas bambalinas, un lazo coon cinta navideña y listo.
