Make A Headband With Me

in NeedleWorkMonday2 months ago

Hello my fellow needleworkers, it has been a really really long time since I posted here and I couldn’t wait to get back.

My phone got bad and obviously I couldn’t take pictures that I can use and post here so I just put posting on hold for a while till I got it fixed and I am back here almost like I never left.

Today I am showcasing or talking about this headband. Firstly I have lots of these because it’s easier to use than regular headties.

So the thing is I always make artificial dreads. It's either that or I make any other thick long hair, so using regular headties is always somewhat frustrating because it’s either they don’t stretch wide enough or after a while they fully weaken.

I still don’t know why I started making these but it has been a life saver since the first one I made. It’s long enough to go round the number of times I want for it to secure the hair. It doesn’t over stretch even if it does it’s easy to tighten it around the hair.

Then I think the game changer is that I can use it anyhow I please. Whether it is to tie my hair up in a ponytail or wrap a doughnut and use it to secure or use it to hold my hair back a little like Sakura 😂😂😂

Honestly I don’t like stressing too much about things I can easily find an easier way to do.

So I may be overhyping this simple headtie and I also may be getting it little credit but anyways this has made taking care of my hair easier and it also sit perfectly on my natural hair too so a win is a win.

I decided to use a thicker yarn this time because I wanted to see if it’ll look different from the others or it’ll just feel different.

I don’t know but I just wanted to try it out and honestly it’s better than the rest and I think I’ll keep using this 100g yarn ball.

I wore a headband like this to the gym once and someone with the same issue as I used to have admired it and said she would have loved to get one too.

Not and as yeah but it stays tight on my hair and barely moves except I adjust it myself and that is a plus because I always wake up and see my hair untied and on the bed when I use regular hair ties.

I’m not discrediting hair ties please don’t get me wrong I’m just saying it doesn’t work for me whenever I get my hair done. It works for my natural hair yeah but since I have these already I just use them to style my hair.
I would love to see someone try it out because this is a game changer.

Things I used to make it:
*5.0mm hook
*100g yarn ball (used half, I made mine long)

Ps: these pictures belong to me and we’re taken with my mobile device.

Cute guide, purple is royal and beautiful

Long head ties are actually the best
They can go around as many times as possible
It’s so pretty , I think I’ll make one for myself too.

I’ll love to see it

This is pretty easy to make and beautiful too, I'm not really a fan of hair bands but this looks cute on you
