Hello people on hive, I am so excited today because I did some DIY for my dress and now i can put it on to any place of my choice.
My elder sis got a skirt some time ago and it wasn't her size, she wanted to just add it to the wast and get it on fire since it has been in her wardrobe but has not been useful.
I was I told her I could put it on like that, even though it wasn't my size. Each time I put on the skirt before stepping out, I just feel like I'm in a sack and end up changing into something else.
For months this skirt has been in my wardrobe and I couldn't wear it out. Today I came across it at the bottom of my box, it was all rumpled already, I thought of a way to finally make the skirt useful for me, so I decided to make some adjustments to the skirt, firstly, I measured my waist down to my knee length, got the measurement, and then I measured same thing for the skirt too and the I cut out the excess.
Then I decided that even the waste (which is the excess) could be used to add beauty to the skirt and make it a proper recreation.
Then I got an idea to make the skirt a pinafore instead, I measured my arm to my waist level front and back (i.e to the level where my skirt would sit). That was how I took the excess, cut it in two, I trimmed them into equal sizes, folded each of the egdes and the
Lastly I attached each stripes carefully to the skirt with measurements.
That was how I reacted an abandoned skirt into something beautiful and wearable.
