Diy color combination of different Ankara for short gown made for myself

in NeedleWorkMonday9 hours ago

Good afternoon needlework community and lovers of Diy, is yet another monday to share our creative works here, today i will be sharing a short gown i made with different Ankara fabric combined together to make one gown

A colorful and attractive gown for myself, you know last week i told you am running shortage of native clothes and i needed to make few for myself and i will be showing you how i made them and the materials i used are mentioned below

Two different colours of Ankara

Black lining

Half inch Elastic

Scissors

Tape and rule

Sewing machine

The two lovely materials

Cutting of the first material which i use as the main body, i folded in the front to start my cutting from the back and the measurements i used is shoulder, burst, waist, hip, and part of the length

This is it, i have joined the lining and the two pockets and i will use the other material to complete the full length

This is the completion of the full length still in pieces, i will join them to form one strip and then use it to make pleats before joining it

As i make the pleats, i joined it the same time to the upper part which is the main body

This is how the sleeves looks like

This is how i attach the elastic to the sleeves 5 inches away from the edges of sleeves

The outcome of the two combination is so lovely and sharp

Thank you for stopping by, your comment and support are appreciated 🙏🙏

Still your humble @ebonymama
