DIY : lovely Short Gown With Pleating At the Down Part

in NeedleWorkMonday21 days ago

Hello Hive

Good morning friends and needlework lovers, how was your weekend and how is the new week treating you, sure good?

I have come to show you the tutorial on how i made the beautiful short gown for myself, i found out my native wears are beginning to grow old and i needed to make fresh ones but just casual wears

I have to iron the materials first to avoid excesses after sewing

Materials i used:

Ankara combined with spoted chyffun material

Sewing machine

Matching thread

Scissors

Chuck and rule

I folded the material into four from the back added 2.5 as the sewing allowance to all and cut both back and front at the same time with but i brought out zipper allowance of 1.5inches

I cut out 5 by 12 inches from the neck to the under burst area which i replaced with the spotted chyffun material with Ankara pleated round there to the neck

The measurements i use shoulder, burst, waist, hip and full length, is just a simple gown as i said earlier

I placed the Ankara on the spotted fabric to cut out the design making it easy for me and i added half inch for the sewing allowance

The sleeves are cut out

This material is too soft so i applied clothe gum, and sewing started, i joined the pleated part before the soft material

The front and back part, i have aso joined the lining here

I joined the back and front together

The sleeve has elastic, how i insert the elastic and fix the sleev

I love how beautiful it is on me, you can see to yourself 😁

Thank you for visiting my post, i appreciate your comments and support 🙏🙏
