In engineering term this technique we called knitting. when interlacement of 2 set of yarns with right angle happens we call it weaving or woven which requires loom for production.
but here are you just wanted to mention meeting with the word weaving and I think nothing wrong with that. and in this pandemic situation it will very much helpful and will make some decoration as well. nice idea and share thanks.
