CROCHET SUNFLOWER BOUQUET KEYCHAIN 💐🌻

Hello everyone in this community. How are you guys doing. I know it took me so long to post again. Life's been a real rollercoaster this holiday. My mom got really sick and I had to take care of her. She's doing great now but that time was really difficult. She has recovered fully thank god. Thats why I was so busy that I didn't get any time to post. Although I made this mini sunflower bouquet keychain for my friend. She recently got admission in university and her classes just started now.

I took this inspiration from Pinterest but it took me a while to find the tutorial. Also I bought new yarn 😍. I bought it on my last paper with my friend. We went together for yarn shopping as she is also a crocheter as well. It was so fun. For this I have used very basic things. I have used ginger yellow yarn to make the petals, brown yarn to make the center part, dark green yarn for leaves and stem and a wire so that it doesn't fall. I have made the cover with a 4mm hook to give it a loose finish.

I started it by making the center part of the flower with brown yarn . I made magic ring and made 6 single crochet into it. Then I gradually increased the stitches to attain the desired form. It totally involved 4 rounds. This is the base of our flower. Now all the working will start from here. If you want to increase the number of petals you have to make the bigger centre part.

After I finished making the center of the sunflower using brown yarn, I moved on to the petals using ginger yellow yarn. I wanted the petals to look soft but also a little full, so I used half double crochet (HDC) stitches.I made three chains (this counts as the first HDC), then made one HDC in the same stitch to give the petal a wide base. Then I did a slip stitch between the two stitches to give the petal a pointy look. And then did one half double crochet in the next stitch to and did the slip stitch In the same stitch. It gave the petal a perfect look. The part was a bit tricky to understand but then I did it anyway. I kept repeating this pattern all around the center. I made nine petals in total to make the flower look full.

Then I started working on the leaves and stem using dark green yarn. I used wire inside to make sure the stem stayed strong and didn’t bend. I used half double crochet and double crochet stitches to make the leaves look natural.I started with a chain of ten stitches. In the second chain from the hook, I made one single crochet . In the next stitch, I made one half double crochet . In the next two stitches, I made double crochet to make the middle of the leaf wider. Then, I worked backward—making an HDC and an SC again—to make the other side of the leaf.I worked around the other side of the chain the same way, so the leaf looked even. For the stem I simplly wrapped the green yarn around it and glued the end.

I made the cover by using my old yarn. I used a 4mm hook to give it a loose finish. Honestly speaking I was too tired to work with single crochet 😔😂 so I decided to to make it loose. I made the cover enough that could wrap the flower. At the end I used a piece of brown yarn to tie it. And this was the final look.
