I learned a 3-layer warping technique that makes potholder weaving go faster. I demonstrate it on my new 10 inch potholder loom.
Begin by putting loops on the odd pins in one direction:
Layer 2 requires loops on the odd pins at right angles to the first layer:
Layer 3 adds loops to the even pins in the same direction as the first layer.
Now that the 3 layers of warp are done, do over-under weaving on the even pegs that remain open. This locks all those warp layers together.
Once every peg has a loop, it is time to use a crochet hook to take off the loops.
I will show off the finished potholder later. My fingers got a bit stiff, so I had to stop for now.
It seems like this needs some techniques or working ideas can't wait go see the finished products.

It is relaxing, although it is also hard on the hands after a while. I like knowing many crafts so that if my hands get tired of one, I can switch to a slightly different motion to rest them. !PIZZA
