First, let me confess I frogged(unraveled) my first brioche stitch sock . It was too ugly. Now I am halfway through a more standard pair using that same yarn

What's that line through the right sock? That is a holding place for the stitches I will pick up later to make a peasant heel ( afterthought heel.)
I also cast on a sock in sport weight merino on larger needles to try an easier half-brioche stitch.

This is really beautiful thanks for sharing @fiberfrau

A fantastic hobby, I guess. It develops creativity through the use of knitting hooks.
!BEER Yes it keeps me out of trouble--usually.

BEER.I have not attempted the brioche stitch yet but have thought about it. :-) I will confess that I enjoy easier patterns so I can knit and knit and knit. Socks I can do but something always pulls me away and then I forget where I left off. And then there is the hot summer's heat (and humidity) of Kansas. We don't have AC so knitting is near to impossible. I am currently trying to clear all the grasses from my gardens and make my yard half-way presentable (we live in the country so it's a personal need) AND organize my house. TOO BUSY THESE DAYS.....anyway.....keep up the socks and the posting @fiberfrau!! I always love to hear and see what you are up to these days. God bless and be well.
Thank you! !CTP !BBH

When I was a kid watching my grandmother's hands while she created clothing was almost hypnotic. She would knit all manner of clothing and had different needles for different stitches.
It is very calming (or meditative or hypnotic.) I say that I knit so I don't drink or smoke. Yarn is cheaper and I have new socks or a sweater when I am done! !BBH

My aunt was a mistress of good needlework ... this brings back pleasant memories!
I know what you mean. I have great memories of sewing or knitting with my mom, grandmothers, friends. !CTP
I don't understand fabrics at all but your design looks very elaborate, keep it up.

Very nice! My mom used to do a lot of knitting and crocheting. I kind of wish I would have had her teach me when I was younger. I guess I still could, but I am not sure I have the patience for it. She likely would get frustrated with me! I found your post on Listnerds.
