Hello hivers!!
Hope everyone is doing great today🙂 I’m about to write on wig making, stay blessed.
I got a wig recently, when I wore it I found out that the wig cap was too big for my head so I decided to loose the wig and make my wig myself. 🙂
Instruments needed to make a wig:
- needles
- black thread
- mannequin head
- wig cap
- bundles of human hair and a closure.
- rubber band
I started off by sewing in the closure for the hair, and this is because if I don’t sew the closure first and sew in the hair, the space that will be remaining for the closure might be too small or too big. So it’s better to start by sewing in your closure.
This is a picture of the closure after sewing it in.
While sewing the closure I had to be careful not to spoil the closure.
While sewing in the closure it has to be post on the head and also it has to be in the middle of the head.
After sewing the closure I started sewing in the bundles.
Sewing in the bundles you have to make sure you not sew it too close to each other. In other words you have to sew according to the quantity of bundles you have.
In sewing the bundles on the wig cap you have to pass the threaded needle through the hair and the wig cap, bring it out and tie a knot. Tying a knot makes the wig last and the sewing tight.
My wig 90% ready, just remaining for me to fill in the spaces I left with the remaining bundles and then style.
The finished product with a little bit of styling.
Thank you for reading my blog🙂
