Si bien llevo algunos años tejiendo con la técnica amigurumi, es difícil ver esto del tejido como un negocio/emprendimiento y como tal debe ser rentable. Digo que es difícil (en mi caso y es común, creo) porque es una persona la que encargada de todas las áreas, desde la inspiración y bocetaje/dibujo hasta la emisión del recibo al cliente y trato post venta.

Although I have been knitting amigurumi for some years, it is difficult to see knitting as a business/entrepreneurship and as such it must be profitable. I say it is difficult (in my case and it is common, I think) because one person is in charge of all areas, from inspiration and sketching/drawing to issuing the receipt to the customer and after-sales service.

Es por ello que decidí darme un tiempo para replantear esto. También me dió tiempo para seguir capacitándome en áreas que se me complicaban manejar como plan de negocios, fotografía, marketing, empaquetado, entre otros. Por cierto, hay un curso de amigurumis que está súper interesante dictado por la profesora Mariel, al final les comentaré más detalles sobre esto.

That's why I decided to give myself some time to rethink this. It also gave me time to continue training in areas that were difficult for me to manage such as business planning, photography, marketing, packaging, among others. Seguimos en el mes de la mujer por ello Kerstin llegó para inspirarnos un poco. Ella es bióloga marina y la directora de "Planeta océano", el cual es una entidad que protege el mar peruano bajo 3 ejes: Investigación, Educación y Fomento de Desarrollo sostenible.

We are still in the month of women so Kerstin came to inspire us a bit. She is a marine biologist and the director of "Planeta Oceano", which is an entity that protects the Peruvian sea under 3 axes: Research, Education and Promotion of Sustainable Development.

Gracias al reporte de Kerstin, el pez cierra ahora está en peligro crítico de extinción. Antes se creía extinto en Perú desde hace 30 años. También crearon leyes para que se proteja a las tortugas marinas ya que tenemos 5 de las 7 especies que hay en el mundo. Lo que más me encanta de su trabajo es que trabaja con los pescadores, forman campañas colectivas y va a los colegios a concientizar sobre las especies marinas, y sobre todo hace que la investigación sea accesible y un deber para los ciudadanos.

Thanks to Kerstin's report, the fish is now critically endangered. It was previously thought to be extinct in Peru for 30 years. They also created laws to protect sea turtles, as we have 5 of the 7 species in the world. What I love most about his work is that he works with fishermen, they form collective campaigns and he goes to schools to raise awareness about marine species, and above all he makes research accessible and a duty for citizens.

Como algunos se habrán dado cuenta (jaja) estoy en constante aprendizaje, antes anotaba y anotaba, ahora más voy a la práctica y déjenme decirles que es otra cosa (100% recomendado).

Navegando por internet (en busca de cursos libres) conocí a Mariel, ella es una profesora que te explica no solo la parte técnica sino también todo lo que hay antes, durante y después de un amigurumi, haciendo un curso mucho más completo. El curso inició hoy y terminará este domingo 3 de abril. Aún pueden inscribirse. Las clases se dan por Youtube.

Surfing the internet (looking for free courses) I met Mariel, she is a teacher who explains not only the technical part but also everything before, during and after an amigurumi, making a much more complete course.
