Estoy feliz porque terminé de tejer a este monstrito , aunque tarde pero lo terminé (Yehhh). Mide unos 20 cm desde los pies hasta las 4 antenas. Este personaje me trajo bastante aprendizaje tanto en la estructura del patrón como en las formas de la anatomía del personaje. ¡Veámos cómo fue esto!.
I'm very happy because I finished crocheting this monster, although it took me a while but I finished it (Yehhh). It measures about 7.87 in from the feet to the 4 antennae. This character brought me a lot of learning both in the structure of the pattern and in the shapes of the character's anatomy, let's see how it went!

Este monstrito estaba planeado terminarlo para Halloween...Cada vez que miraba el número de vueltas que tenía la cola, no me daban ganas de coger el crochet hasta el mes de diciembre. Recuerdo haber terminado de tejer todas las partes pasando la Navidad.
This little monster was planned to be finished for Halloween... Every time I looked at the number of rounds in the tail, I didn't feel like picking up the crochet hook until December. I remember finishing crocheting all the parts just after Christmas.
El fin de semana pasado inicié con el ensamblado. El diseño original lleva ojos de plástico pegados. Al inicio quise colocarle ojos de seguridad. Luego noté que no le quedaban por el grosor de la pieza tejida de los ojos y decidí pintarlos. En las orejas, una me quedó más pequeña, ¿eso es común?. Esta vez lo dejé así...quizá esa sea una ventaja de tejer monstritos, jaja.
Last weekend I started with the assembly. The original design has plastic eyes glued on. At first I wanted to put safety eyes on it. Then I saw that they didn't fit because of the thickness of the woven piece of the eyes and I decided to paint them. On the ears, one of them was too small, is that common? This time I left it like that... maybe that's one of the benefits of making little monsters, jaja.
Con este diseño me dí cuenta que quienes tejen muñecos grandes deben tener bastante paciencia, logrando coser cada pieza en su lugar. Al momento de coser lar piernas, una no encajó con el cuerpo (le faltó la simetría)...Allí si destejí y tejí nuevamente para que cuadre.
With this design I realised that those who crochet big dolls must have a lot of patience, managing to sew each piece in its place. When I sewed the legs, one of them didn't fit the body (it lacked symmetry)...There I unweaved and reweaved to make it fit.
Le puse alambre galvanizado a la cola para que tenga movimiento (así indica el patrón). Los brazos también deberían llevar alambre, pero no le coloqué. Esta mañana estaba pintando los ojitos. También le coloqué el brillito blanco en los ojos, para que tenga vida. Aún me falta averiguar si el color negro de la pintura acrílica resiste a las lavadas.
I added galvanized wire to the tail to give it movement (as indicated in the pattern). The arms should also have wire, but I didn't put any. This morning I was painting the eyes. I also put the white glitter on the eyes, to give it life. I still need to find out if the black color of the acrylic paint resists washing.
¡Listo!. Monstrito es parte de mi aprendizaje sobre técnicas de tejido de distintas partes del mundo. Al ser un proyecto grande, me costó terminarlo y al fin lo logré. Esta publicación es para animarte a terminar tú WIP o tejidos inconclusos...si lo tienes.

El mostrito no parece aterrador, desde aquí se ve muy bien y las orejas sin ninguna diferencia en el tamaño.
