¡Hola, deseándole muy buenas vibras!
Hi, wishing you very good vibes
He aprendiendo un punto nuevo “punto apache”.
I have learned a new "Apache point". The relief it gives is pleasing to the eye, but even more so if you play with the colours, it seems like an optical illusion. As it is a flat fabric, I decided to weave a pencil case (I needed it). In the original video (link at the end), they use different colours. I tried 3 colours.
Materiales /materials :
Lana acrílica gruesa / Thick acrylic wool
Crochet 4mm
Tijera / scissor
Aguja lanera /wool needle
Marcador de vueltas / lap scoreboard
I can say that it is one of the fabrics that took me the longest. At first I found the knitting super complicated, so I left it in a few rows. Then I realized that I was knitting and knitting and not advancing. At the end of last year, I decided to finish knitting it. But this time I changed the crochet to a thicker one (4 millimetres). The results changed immediately.
Same point, same colours, only the sequence of the colours changed (figure 1). In the image A1, I placed the brown, beige, cream sequence (one row each) and in the A2 I placed 2 brown, 2 beige and 2 cream (two rows each). I knitted with the apache point up to a desired size (as to make the down reach) and then I formed the brown border (figure 2). At the back of the fabric there are some stripes (figure 3).
Once I had obtained a sufficient edge, I joined it to the other piece with low stitches on the back (to give it elasticity) and also knitted it an edge (figure 4). With thin black thread I knitted a kind of down holder to go inside it (figure 5). Then I joined it to the centre of the case (figure 6).
Finally I added a pocket inside it (figure 7) and some knitted buttons, so that it closes the case (figure 8).
¡Y eso es todo!,
¡…Hasta la próxima!
See you next time!
Dato curioso: Este punto para mí se me hizo cansado en un inicio, creo que eso dependerá de la persona. Yo tejo apretado y este punto es para tejerlo suelto. / This point for me became tiresome at first, I think that will depend on the person. I knit tightly and this stitch is to knit loose.

Well done! It looks fantastic!
Thank you. It is ideal to give the fabrics an optical illusion.
WOw!!! I did not know this technique but the result looks amazing. You are right it is like an optical illusion. The case you made is perfect for pencils, but I also could imagine that you could make it for your crochet tools (and may I say, I think it would sell very well. But I have no idea if this would be worthwhile in regard to time and money)
Of course, for crochet there are other simpler models, as the chochets are usually thin. I believe that it is possible to be made but combination with fabrics, leagues and other points. Although as a cover, this point is somewhat hard and resistant.
