La semana pasada ví por Instagram esta idea para reutilizar los restos de hilo rellenando tu amigurumi y me pareció chévre intertarla para ver cómo queda.
Esta idea viene de Ñatita crochet. Aquí detallo el precedimiento según mi experiencia.
Last week I saw on Instagram this idea to reuse the leftover yarn to stuff your amigurumi and I thought it was cool to try it to see how it looks like. This is idea is Ñatita crochet. Here I detail the precedent according to my experience.

| Yarn scraps at hand
Volví a mi bolsa de restos de hilo. Por cierto, cada que reviso esta bolsa recuerdo el proyecto tejido...Sigamos. Separé los trozos pequeños, es decir con un máximo de 1 cm de largo. En la idea original, ella corta sus pedazos de hilo muy, muy chiquito.
I went back to my bag of yarn scraps. By the way, every time I go through this bag I remember the knitting project...Let's continue. I separated the small pieces, i.e. with a maximum length of 0.39 in. In the original idea, she cuts her pieces of yarn very, very small.
| Combination of silicone nappa (stuffing or wadding) with the yarns
Una vez separado los hilos, llegó el momento de combinarlos muy bien. Esta parte toma su tiempo, me parece que es porque el hilo pesa más que la napa y se juntan en un solo lugar. Aquí le agregaba más napa para lograr la uniformidad.
Once the yarns have been separated, it's time to combine them very well. This part takes some time, I think it's because the yarn is heavier than the nappa and they come together in one place. Here I would add more nappa to achieve uniformity.
| Second try
Al momento de rellenarlo, la pieza se sentía algo áspero y dura. Era como si adquiriera la firmeza del hilo de algodón. Probé nuevamente y esta vez utilicé solo los pedacitos más pequeños (0.5 cm) y delgados. También adicioné más napa (relleno).
When it was filled, the piece felt a little rough and hard. It was as if it took on the firmness of cotton thread. I tried again and this time I used only the smallest (0.2 in) and thinnest pieces. I also added more nappa (stuffing).
| Conclusions
Esta vez si salió mejor. Supuestamente la idea de esto era reciclar tus restos de hilo y ahorrar en el relleno siliconado (napa). Mi conclusión es que sí utilizaría esta técnica para rellenar piezas medianas o grandes. Antes, separaría los restos de hilo pequeñitos que tenga guardado (esa parte sí se me hizo cansada). Es mas, ya separé otra bolsa donde estarán esos restos, jaja.
This time it turned out better. Supposedly the idea of this was to recycle your leftover yarn and save on siliconised (nappa) stuffing. My conclusion is that I would use this technique to stuff medium to large pieces. First, I would separate the small yarn scraps that I have in my stash (that part got tiring). What's more, I've already separated another bag where those leftovers will be, jaja.

Que buena idea. Yo he desechado todos esos trocitos, solo guardo los retos de madejas. Pero ahora veo que también tienen uso. Ya venía pensando como usar esos pequeños recortes porque a la verdad no me gusta desechar nada pero si los guardo siento que estoy próxima a un caos en el desorden.

I believe that this technique adapts to every crocheter. In my case, I didn't choose to cut the yarns, because I feel that I contaminate more by spreading the little hairs around. Big hugs.
