Hello everybody,
My Versatile Wrist Bag, done already. I used it right away this afternoon at the money remittance. I went out this afternoon to send money to my sons and daughters who is in the other Island, Olongapo City.
See, I can tuck in the bag my project and crochet even standing. Hehehe...
Oh, by the way, the other day the ear guards that I made was picked up by the frontliner, Med Tech, here at our place, riding her motorcycle service because we senior citizen can't go out and also my home quarantine pass ends with number 5, only monday, wednesday and friday allowef to go out to buy food. I also gave her 3mm hook and 3ply yarns for her to make some during her break time at the hospital laboratory.
Back to the bag.
Last monday, that was part 1 tutorial. Today is the handle tutorial.
Using cotton 3 pull for the handle because cotton yarn is soft to the skin not like the cord is hand and harsh to wrist skin.
At the center of the two granny square, insert the hook, pull the cotton yarn, make 3 chain, 1 dc in same sp ( 1 twin dc post made), ch 2, 1dc - 2nd twin dc post, make 32 twin dc post all, then attached by sc to the other side of two granny.
ch 2, 1sc in 2nd stitch post of the granny, 2dc in each 32 twin dc post made.
Sl st into the 2nd post of the granny, 1sc in each stitch...
When at the next edge, 3 dc into the center, then sc all around half of the bag. The handle is work in each side.
Then, 1dc, 2dc, 2dc on the 2nd row at the center, again 1 sc in each st.
On the 3rd row 1dc in each st, 2 dc in next, continue 1 sc in each stitch all around.
The last row is the scallop. 2dc in same st, skip 2 st, sl st in next st. Done one side of the handle. The other side is just same counting. Done.
Video tutorial is done but I hav'nt uploaded in my YouTube Channel yet because my internal memory of my phone is full, must clean it up.
Thank you @crosheille for this awesome community you founded, to the active admins @muscara @shanibeer @marblely and the member needlers how post beautiful creations by their hands, thus, we learn different needle crafts.
Wow! Good handicraft
This is just adorable! I love the happy spring colors.
The colors were really vibrant and bright. They caught my eye too.
Wow panalo to.
That yarn looks beautiful. Does it hurt your hands? Last project I was working on is at a stand still cause my hands kept hurting.
That is interesting that you have numbers and can only leave your house on certain days. I like learning about how other countries are handing the shelter in places.
Thanks @metzli no my hands do not hurt the technique is not to wash your hands after crocheting. I crochet after lunch for 2 hours only then relax so I can prepare dinner then crochet again after dinner or all household chores done.Avoid water it really hurt.
Thanks for the tip, my pointer fingers often hurt when I use certain yarns. I have noticed that my mom has more rough skinon the side of her finger...
I will try it your way, but am not sure I can time my crocheting so well.
Try cotton yarn, acrylic yarn sometimes hurt, hope I can see your video how you hold your hook and yarn, because maybe it is because you hold to tight. My FB is Ju Rich.
I also have problems in my fingers from knitting or crochet... I fear I have the beginning of arthritis (I have this in my feet for longer from dancing and I seem to have a disposition to get it 😱😱😱) I am curious if the advice helped?
It is kind of more like a "washing dishes without gloves" pain that I had before I built calluses, then an arthritis type pain. I think finer/softer yarn would help - but since I crochet with leftovers and upcycled materials sometimes it is a bit difficult to demand quality.
Love the colors and the little bag. So handy!!! And you look especially cool while standing and working on crochet, like a famous artist who cannot drop the project. I love this photo of you.
Here the corona lock down is a bit less intense since Monday and we are all allowed to go out or shop in small shops, bigger ones are still clothed as are restaurants schools etc. But as the infections are instantly rising, I don’t think this will last long.
Thanks @neumannsalva here they say the home quarantine will be lifted on May 15, should be just today but because of rising covid cases hmm I doubt if it will be lifted. My son said, he heard the news there will be 3 days hard lockdown. Totally all closed.Praying this approah is effective.
Love the colours! And it is so cool that you can easily be working on your projects while you are walking as you hang the bag on your wrist. Congratulations too that you have helped the frontliners with the ear guards. It is such an interesting year this year, isn't it? Who would have thought the world come together in unity to fight this virus.
Nice one sis! Just saw this now. I will follow the steps too. I only make pouches because they're handy for my motorcycle. This will be another new task I can do though I often use the cotton mercerized cotton thread. On the other hand, the yarn is more suitable for this design to make it thicker and "stand" on each own.
Nice and neat work! The color are attractive too.
