The creation of this garland was the content I wanted to share for this Monday when I found out that my account had been hacked and I could no longer recover the password. It was the Monday after Easter. When I wanted to log in to prepare my post I was unable to do so. It has taken me some time to get things back on track, to be honest I haven't even felt like knitting, who would have thought that would be possible. But I am not one of those people who give up. I had made other publications with Easter decorations and although this holiday is over I share with you my last project of the season. By the way, we had a great time that day. Finally I was able to buy some chocolate eggs, a total of 10 surprise eggs: 5 for each child. We made a rule that no matter how many eggs each one found, they would be shared in half. This was the only way Carlos allowed my little Rafa to find some. I hid the eggs inside the house since we don't have a garden. They thought I was faking it, but when I started to rummage through it all myself, they realized it was true. Y no saben, como lo hice rápidamente porque ya mis niños se estaban despertando la mañana del domingo, olvidé dónde había puesto todos los huevos. Creyeron que estaba fingiendo pero cuando yo misma empecé a revolverlo todo, cayeron en cuenta que si era cierto. Se rieron de mí a más no poder. |
Now I detail the process of making my bunny garland. Believe me this garland will bring back a lot of memories. I took the time to make my own rag. With the leftover flannel I used for the bunny in my previous post. I cut the top of the flannel to get a rectangle with the fabric. To make this rag I only made cuts following a straight line without cutting completely, leaving about 2 centimeters before reaching the junction of the parts of the flannel. Then in the first row we made a transversal and diagonal cut in order to maintain the continuity of the flannel strip. | Ahora les detallo el proceso de elaboración de mi guirnalda de coneja. Creanme está guirnalda me traerá muchos recuerdos. Me tomé de hacer mi propio trapillo. Con el sobrante de la franela que usé para la conejita de mi anterior publicación. Corte la parte de arriba de la franela para obtener un rectángulo con la tela. Para realizar este trapillo solo hice cortes siguiendo en línea recta sin llegar a cortar completamente, dejando un aproximado de 2 centímetros antes de llegar a la unión de las partes de la franela. Luego en la primera fila realizamos un corte transversal y en diagonal para así mantener la continuidad de la tira de franela. |
I cut two cardboard rings with the help of a compass and an exacto and traced the ears free form, with one I got the pattern to make the other. | Corte dos aros de cartón con la ayuda de un compás y un exacto y las orejas las tracé de forma libre, con una obtuve el patrón para hacer la otra. |
With the rag I wrapped the whole area, circles and ears. I didn't have enough to cover it completely and I used a 4mm knitting needle. I don't mind that the cardboard shows a little, as I think it gives it a rustic and authentic touch. Then I put the parts in place to get the bunny figure. | Con el trapillo envolví toda el área, círculos y orejas. No me alcanzó para cubrirlo completamente y utilicé una aguja de tejer de 4mm. No me molesta que se vea un poco el cartón, pues me parece que le da un toque rústico y auténtico. Luego coloqué las partes en su lugar para obtener la figura de conejo. |
I made different types of flowers, among them: lavender, a tulip, two small sunflowers and some foliage. I glued them one by one with silicone and finally I made the bow with an old brown cloth bag, also a little rustic. | Realicé diferentes tipos de flores, entre ellas: lavanda, un tulipán, dos pequeños girasoles y algo de follaje. Las fui pegando una a una con silicón y por último realicé el moño con una vieja bolsa de tela color café, también un poco rústica. |
I think I should have made the circle of the head a little smaller, it would look more aesthetic, I didn't notice this detail until the whole project was finished. Hola amiga quedó bello este arreglo de pascua, que bien. Que lastima lo de tu cuenta a mi me pasó igual de un día a otro me hackearon mi cuenta vieja, y bueno tampoco pude recuperarla, es muy frustrante, pero bueno, seguimos adelante con buen pie, feliz día.
