El dia de hoy después de varias semanas de reposo a causa de un virus que esta circulando en mi país, finalmente termine con un bonito proyecto textil que habia iniciado el mes pasado. Este proyecto como todos me emocionaba mucho, pues su tejido contaba con un hermoso animal print, textura la cual es una tendencia de moda que siempre me fascina por su serie de estampados y patronaje.

Today, after several weeks of rest due to a virus circulating in my country, I'm finally finishing a beautiful textile project I started last month. Like all my projects, this one excited me a lot, as it featured a beautiful animal print, a texture that's a fashion trend I always love for its variety of patterns and designs.
Para su realizacion me vinieron miles de ideas que visualizaba e imaginaba en mi cabeza mientras observaba los recortes que disponia.
Ya casi decidida, encontré un short a medio hacer con el mismo patron de leopardo, dandome la idea perfecta para este proyecto. Optando por la creación de un vestido donde la falda de la parte baja, fuese transparente.
To create it, thousands of ideas came to me, which I visualized and imagined in my head while looking at the scraps I had available.
Almost decided, I found a half-finished pair of shorts with the same leopard print pattern, giving me the perfect idea for this project. I opted to create a dress where the lower part of the skirt would be sheer.

Procedimiento:
1er paso:
Para este trabajo comence colocando cada retazo encima de la mesa, de forma tal, que quedara bien conformado de manera supuesta encima de la mesa, para de esta forma tener una nocion del diseño que deseaba.
Procedure:
1st step
For this work I began by placing each scrap on the table, in such a way that it would be well formed in a supposed way on the table, in order to have an idea of the design I wanted.
2do paso:
Continue con la union de la falda transparente al short, para ello coloque cuatro alfileres en cuatro esquinas. Al ser mas ancha fui frunciendo manualmente cada parte hasta que quedara bien distribuido y luego las uni con una costura recta en toda el area de circunferencia superior.
Para la blusa, uni por los laterales y hombros con una costura recta, y remato las terminaciones o margenes de costura con una puntada en zig zag dandole asi un lindo acabo.
2nd step:
Continue attaching the sheer skirt to the shorts. To do this, place four pins at four corners.
Since it's wider, I manually gathered each section until the gathers were evenly distributed, and then sewed them together with a straight seam around the entire upper circumference.
For the blouse, I joined the sides and shoulders with a straight seam, and finished the seam allowances with a zigzag stitch, giving it a nice finish.
3er paso:
Para ya tener una prenda mas acercada al diseño deseado uni ambas piezas, superior correspondiente con la blusita e inferior correspondiente al short y falda. A medida que iba uniendo ambas piezas fui dejando un amplio margen de costura, pues este serviria luego como puente para pasar el elastico en el area de la cintura.,
3rd step:
To get a garment closer to the desired design, I joined both pieces: the top piece, corresponding to the blouse, and the bottom piece, corresponding to the shorts and skirt. As I joined the two pieces, I left a wide seam allowance, as this would later serve as a bridge for inserting the elastic in the waistband area.
4to paso:
Le añadi a ultima instancia dos manguitas, pues le daban mas serenidad al diseño. Para este proceso decidi aplicar la técnica de la costura francesa, pues ya no disponia de fluido eléctrico y moria por culminar este proyecto.
Para la costura francesa coloque la cada manga por separado, derecho con derecho y pase costura por uno de los laterales, luego lo voltee al reves y volvi a pasar costura en la misma zona quedando el margen de costura por dentro. Finamente todo lo sobrante de costura lo cello con una puntada recta a un lado.
Una vez listas mis mangas las coloque con ayuda de alfileres a las bocamangas del vestido partiendo del medio de los hombros hacia abajo.
4th step:
I added two short sleeves as a last resort, since they gave the design a more serene feel. For this process, I decided to use the French seam technique, as I no longer had electricity and was dying to finish this project. For the French seam, I placed each sleeve separately, right sides together, and sewed along one of the sides. Then I turned it inside out and sewed again in the same area, leaving the seam allowance on the inside. Finally, I secured all the excess seam allowance with a straight stitch along one side. Once my sleeves were ready, I pinned them to the sleeve openings of the dress, starting from the center of the shoulders and working downwards.
5to paso:
Para culminar esta hermosa prenda de niñas le empate y frunci a mano el vuelo de la parte baja de mi vestido. Remate con una puntada en zig zag los márgenes de costura.
Tambien le realice los dobladillos correspondientes al short y cuello de mi vestido.
Step 5:
To finish this beautiful girl's garment, I gathered and hand-stitched the ruffle at the bottom of the dress. I finished the seam allowances with a zigzag stitch. I also hemmed the shorts and the neckline of the dress.
