Greetings my dear Needleworkers. Happy blessed Needlework Monday to all of you. Today I am very happy and excited to tell you my experience knitting with this new material that I bought a few days ago when I visited the store El Castillo in the city of Lechería.

This new material is called Chenille Wool and is a wool used to make large amigurumis that have a plush-like finish. I have been wanting to try knitting with this material for a long time, but I had not been able to find it in my city. So when I finally bought it, I couldn't resist the urge to make my first project.

First I was watching some videos with tips and suggestions on how to work with this material and then I looked for a pattern that would fit, since using a pattern created for a thinner yarn I ran the risk that the doll would be too big for me. That's when I found a tutorial of a Teddy bear knitted with chenille yarn.

A Teddy bear seemed like the ideal project, as I have always liked them. Besides being simple, the pattern is easy to follow and what excited me the most is that I already have the right person to give it to once I finish it. I started the project on Saturday but I couldn't finish it, because while I was preparing dinner that day I cut my index finger a little bit and I had to pause the project until the wound closes well.

I confess that I am very anxious to see this project finished and start a new one with a new pattern. For now I will say goodbye until the next publication in which I hope to show you the final result of this Teddy Bear. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.

Ese material es increíble, lo vi cuando fui por lanas una vez y es extremadamente suave, será un gran proyecto sin dudas, ya quiero verlo finalizado
This is pretty. I do have a question, though. I have seen that most amigurmi projects are made with velvet yarn. Is it a rule or just a preference?
It is not a rule, in fact most knitters use cotton yarn, some prefer acrylic and now velvet yarn is in trend for larger amigurumis.
I like this yarn beacuse it is so soft to knit, but it is no so good for details.
Ohhhhh now I get it. This totally explains it
