as announced, now just in time for #NeedleWorkMonday my socks with Hive logo are ready. This design is probably only for real hive fans.
wie angekündigt, sind nun pünktlich zum Needleworkmonday meine Socken mit Hive logo fertig. Dieses Design ist wahrscheinlich nur für echte Hivefans.
I used 4-ply sock wool and ran it double to make the socks thicker. Of course, you can also take 8-ply wool.
Ich habe 4-fach Sockenwolle verwendet und diese doppelt laufen lassen, damit die Socken dicker werden. Selbstverständlich kann man auch 8-fach Wolle nehmen.
The needle set is size 4.5.
Das Nadelspiel hat die Größe 4,5.
I cast on a total of 44 stitches. 11 stitches per needle.
I estimate that the socks would fit size 42-44 maybe 45.
Ich habe Insgesamt 44 Maschen angeschlagen. 11 Maschen pro Nadel.
Ich schätze, dass die Socken für Größe 42-44, vielleicht auch 45 passen würden.
The cuff pattern I knitted with a right and a left stitch alternately. Shank and pattern right stitches in rounds.
Das Bündchenmuster habe ich mit einer rechten und einer linken Masche im Wechsel gestrickt. Schaft und Muster rechte Maschen in Runden.
Compared to my loop scarf (https://peakd.com/hive-127911/@kvinna/loop-scarf-loopschal) , which I knitted with back and forth rounds, it was a bit more cumbersome here with the pattern, because I had to cut the yarn after each row.
Im Vergleich zu meinem Loopschal (https://peakd.com/hive-127911/@kvinna/loop-scarf-loopschal), den ich mit hin und Rückrunden gestrickt habe, war es hier etwas umständlicher mit dem Muster, denn ich musste den Faden nach jeder Reihe abschneiden.
The verse is knitted only with right stitches. My first attempt to do it this way. But a nice pattern, I think.
Die Verse ist nur mit rechten Maschen gestrickt. Mein erster Versuch, dies so zu tun. Aber ein schönes Muster, wie ich finde.
At the top stitches were reduced.
Bei der Spitze wird dann Abgenommen.
The verses and toe part look a bit misshapen here, but don't worry, the socks, will conform perfectly to your feet.
I'm knitting medium stiff. The socks are not yet washed, the stitch pattern will become more uniform after washing, according to my experience.
Die Verse und die Spitze sehen hier etwas unförmig aus, aber keine Angst, die Socken, werden sich perfekt an die Füße anschmiegen.
Ich stricke mittelfest. Die Socken sind noch nicht gewaschen, das Maschenbild wird erfahrungsgemäß nach dem waschen noch gleichmäßiger werden.
If you want to have the logo only on the outside, you must pay attention to which needles you work over. For the left sock over the first and second needle, for the right sock over the third and fourth needle.
Wenn man das Logo nur auf der Außenseite haben will, muss man darauf achten über welche Nadeln man arbeitet. Für die linke Socke über die erste und zweite Nadel, für die rechte Socke über die dritte und vierte Nadel.

Also ich bin mehr als positiv überrascht. Das sind ja wirklich tolle Socken. Die Erklärung dazu, owohl ich noch nie gestrickt, gehäkelt oder was auch immer habe kann ich mir ein Bild daraus machen. ie hätte ich auch sehr gerne. Das Logo ist erst mal der Hit. Die Wärme bestimmt auch. Meine Schwiegermutter hat mir früher immer welche zum Birthday und zu Weihnachten gestrickt. Die Zeiten sind leider vorbei!

Es war eigentlich gar nicht meine Absicht, hier eine detaillierte Anleitung zum Stricken von Socken zu präsentieren, denn dann hätte ich den Klassiker ohne Muster gewählt, sondern es ging mir eigentlich um den groben Aufbau. (Eigentlich wollte ich auch die Arbeit an der Verse fotografieren, aber da war ich wohl so im Arbeitseifer, dass ich das vergaß.) Umso mehr freut es mich, dass es so anschaulich für Dich ist. Wollsocken finde ich genial von der Wärme und dem Tragekonfort her, man braucht eben nicht immer den dicksten Winterstiefel, sondern kann auch Stiefeletten oder ähnliches tragen. Dafür dann eben die dünne Wollsockenvariante.
Ich hoffe, dass es Deiner Schwiegermama gut geht! Ältere Menschen sagen oft, dass ihnen Handarbeiten schwer fallen, weil sie nicht mehr so gut sehen können oder ihnen die Hände zittern.
Wenn Du dringend Wollsocken brauchst, dann lässt sich das bestimmt irgendwie einrichten. 😉

Die Schwiegermutter gibt es leider nicht mehr. Sie war eine tolle und auch Gläubige Frau. Ja müssen wir mal schauen wie wir das vielleicht hinbekommen!

Thank you for your comment. If you already know how to knit, it's not that hard to knit with 5 needles. It is basically only works in a circle. In the beginning there is a risk that a needle will slip out. I helped myself at the very beginning with little erasers that I put on the points of the needles. While knitting the verses (depending on the model) it can be useful for beginners to secure the second and third needles while knitting the verses over the first and fourth needles.

Von meiner Schwägerin bekomme ich immer ein paar selbst gestrickte Socken zu Weihnachten. Ich weiß auch wieviel Arbeit in so einem Paar steckt, da gratuliere ich zur erbrachten Leistung.

Wollsocken sind wirklich eine sehr gute Sache. Ich habe noch nichts gefunden, was besser und angenehmer wärmt.
Gibt es diese auch schon zu kaufen ?? Oder noch im Homemade Style!
das ist das erste Paar Socken mit Hivelogo und ja Handarbeit von mir gemacht. Hab mir das Muster aufgezeichnet und getestet wie es am besten aussieht und einen Loopschal mit Hivelogo hab ich gemacht.😉
