With much anxiety today I was almost all day waiting for the power to come back on, until finally, this afternoon almost reaching the night, they reconnected it again, I was already feeling a little expectant of whether or not I would be able to share with you my Monday work, which I made with so much love for this exciting day, today we are all waiting to appreciate what each of us did, many of us could do the project on the weekend, others this Monday, in short, here we all are, with the same enthusiasm of Mondays to meet each other.
For this day I share with you the design and making of a cute electric blue pajamas that I made for my daughter.
Since I became a mother I always wanted to learn how to make clothes, to make clothes for my daughter, and when my daughter was a child, I could not devote myself fully to this beautiful art, because I had to study, take care of my daughter, and attend to everything that includes being a housewife, now that my daughter is grown up, I can devote more time to design, This fills me with happiness, and my daughter too, she gets excited every time I make her a new pajama, this time I made her with the design of one that my sister gave her when she was 4 years old, and she always wanted to wear the same one again after she grew up.

Con mucha ansiedad hoy estuve casi todo el día esperando que volviera la luz, hasta que por fin, esta tarde casi llegando la noche, la volvieron a reconectar, ya me sentía un poco a la expectativa de si iba o no a poder compartirles mi trabajo de los lunes, que hice con tanto cariño para este día tan emocionante, hoy todos estamos esperando para apreciar lo que hizo cada uno de nosotros, muchos pudimos realizar los proyecto el fin de semana, otros este mismo lunes, en fin, aquí estamos todos, con el mismo entusiasmo de los lunes para encontrarnos.
Para este día les comparto el diseño y confección de una linda pijama azul eléctrico, que hice para mi hija.
Desde que soy madre siempre quise aprender a confeccionar ropa, para hacerle ropa a mi hija, y cuando mi hija era niña, no pude dedicarme de lleno a este lindo arte, porque tenía que estudiar, cuidar de mi hija, y atender todo lo que incluye ser ama de casa, ahora que mi hija ya es grande, puedo dedicarme más a diseñar, cortar y coser, esto me llena de mucha felicidad, y a mi hija también, a ella le emociona cada vez que le hago una pijama nueva, esta vez le hice con el diseño, de una que le regalo mi hermana cuando ella tenía 4 añitos, y que ella siempre quiso volver a usar una igual después que creció.

Whenever I have the opportunity I buy a meter of fabric and I keep it to make my sewing practices, I do not feel like a professional seamstress, but I defend myself, and I feel that every day, my designs are becoming very beautiful, and with better finishing details.
Some time ago I took sewing courses, which I didn't finish, but I have a little bit of knowledge left, besides, when I was a child I used to watch my mother sewing for her clients, and that's how I accumulated knowledge that I am now putting into practice.
With magazine sheets I drew the patterns to cut the shorts and the pajama blouse, I cut the pieces 2 sizes more than the one I made the pattern, this design is for the blouse and the shorts to have a ruffle.
Mark all the pieces with dry soap, on the fabric, cut, place pins, thread the machine with blue thread, and began to pass straight stitching then zigzag to finish.
Siempre que tengo oportunidad compro un metro de tela y la voy guardando para hacer mis prácticas de costura, no me siento una costurera profesional, pero me defiendo, y siento que cada día, mis diseños están quedando muy bonitos, y con mejores detalles de acabado.
Hace un tiempo estuve en cursos de costura, que no culmine, pero me quedo un poco de conocimiento, además de niña veía a mi mamá cuando cosía para sus clientes, y así fui acumulando conocimiento que ahora estoy poniendo en práctica.
Con hojas de revista dibujé los patrones para cortar el short, y la blusa de la pijama, las piezas las corte 2 tallas más que la que hice del patrón, este diseño es para que quede con volado en la blusa y el short.
Marque todas las piezas con jabón seco, sobre la tela, corte, coloque alfileres, enhebre la máquina con hilo azul, y comencé a pasar costura recta luego de zigzag para rematar.

I sewed the upper half bust and back pieces first, then I sewed the shoulders, sides and bias binding which I cut to 4 cm wide, along the length of the armhole and neckline.
Empecé a coser primero la blusa porque sentí que esta pieza tenía más para dedicarle, ya que es una blusa de 4 piezas, 2 piezas a de medio busto y hombros, y 2 piezas para el torso con volado.
Cosí primero las piezas superiores de medio busto y espalda, después cosí los hombros, laterales y sesgos que corte a 4 cm de ancho, por el largo de la sisa y cuello.

Reserve the blouse, to make the hem at the end of all the main seams of the whole project, I started to sew the shorts, from the center and sides, for the waistband I fixed the elastic below 2 cm, with a stitch in the center of the shorts, and then I sewed a straight seam with the machine.

I left the hems of the blouse and the shorts for almost last because I had to change the fabric press for a fine hem press, to make a curly hem, it is done by introducing the fabric through the slot of the presser foot and with the zigzag stitch you start to sew helping the fabric to stay there without coming out of the slot.
After finishing with the ruffle, I changed the presser foot to the basic presser foot, then I threaded the machine, with white thread, to sew a decorative white embroidered ribbon for the blouse, in addition to the bow that personalizes the pajamas.
Deje los ruedos de la blusa y el short para casi de último porque tenía que hacer cambio de prensa telas, por un prensa telas de ruedo fino, para hacer un ruedo rizado, se hace introduciendo la tela por la ranura del prensa telas y con la costura de zigzag se comienza a coser ayudando a la tela a quedarse ahí sin que se salga de la ranura.
