This time it is about this panty with adjustable straps and the new thing is that I was encouraged to use the machine at maximum speed so I finished it in record time 😃.

Esta vez aparezco un poco tarde, por esta parte del mundo ya es casi la medianoche pero no quería dejar de compartir con ustedes un proyecto de costura semanal ❤️. Esta vez se trata de esta panty con breteles regulables y lo nuevo es que me animé a usar la maquina en la velocidad máxima así que la terminé en tiempo record 😃.
Today I returned from traveling with my friend in a city 350 km from our homes. We traveled by train during the early morning: I couldn't rest well so when I got home before noon I was very tired and went to sleep. When I got up it was already afternoon, and among some accumulated chores I spent the whole day, until now that I can sit down and write this. I thought it would be a good idea to finish some of the unfinished projects that I have in my unfinished project bag, and this garment was the lucky one 😃.
Hoy regresé de estar de viaje con mi amiga en una ciudad a 350 km de nuestras casas. Viajamos en tren durante la madrugada: no pude descansar bien así que cuando llegué a mi casa antes del mediodía estaba muy cansada y me acosté a dormir. Cuando me levanté ya era la tarde, y entre algunos quehaceres acumulados se me pasó todo el día, hasta ahora que puedo sentarme a escribir esto. Pensé en que sería buena idea terminar alguno de los proyectos inconclusos que tengo en mi bolsa de proyectos inconclusos, y esta prenda fue la afortunada 😃.
I don't want sleep to get out of hand, and this is what happens to me when I sleep in late. So I got into a dilemma that I wanted to finish the project quickly but at the same time get it right, of course. So it occurred to me that I could try increasing the sewing speed of the machine. For a whole year I have always sewn at turtle speed and today I had the courage to go to the next level 😂.
No quiero que el sueño se me desacomode, y esto es lo que me pasa cuando duermo hasta tarde. Entonces me metí en el dilema de que quería terminar el proyecto rápidamente pero al mismo tiempo hacerlo bien, por supuesto. Entonces se me ocurrió que podía intentar aumentar la velocidad de costura de la máquina. Durante todo un año siempre he cosido a la velocidad de una tortuga y hoy tuve el coraje de pasar al siguiente nivel 😂.
This garment is very simple: it only has three pieces and little fabric (too little fabric for my taste). I honestly prefer other types of pantyhose but I like to have variety 😂.
Esta prenda es muy sencilla: solo tiene tres piezas y poca tela (muy poca tela para mi gusto). Sinceramente prefiero otro tipo de pantys pero me gusta tener variedad 😂.
The first step is to join the three pieces together with a small zigzag seam. The part of the crotch is in double fabric: I take care of sewing this small part also so that it does not bother when placing the elastic.
El primer paso es unir las tres piezas entre sí con una pequeña costura zig-zag. La parte de la entrepierna queda en tela doble: me encargo de coser esta pequeña parte también para que no moleste al momento de colocar el elástico.

What you see over there is a gift from my sister: a new pin cushion porcupine. I guess some needleworking colleague did it ❤️. Is very sweet.
Eso que ven por allí es un regalo de parte de mi hermana: un nuevo puercoespín alfiletero. Supongo que lo habrá hecho alguna colega trabajadora de agujas ❤️. Es muy tierno.
With respect to the panties, it is time to stretch all the contours. For this fabric I only supported the elastic and sewed with zigzag stitch. This time the machine at full speed did not seem so complicated to handle. Could it be that after so many sewing projects I am a little more trained? 😎
Con respecto a la bombacha, toca elastizar todos los contornos. Para esta tela solo apoyé el elástico y cosí con puntada zig-zag. Esta vez la máquina a toda velocidad no me pareció tan complicada de manejar. ¿Será que después de tantos proyectos de costura estoy un poco más entrenada? 😎
This step literally took me half as long as it ever did. I wish I had been encouraged to do this much earlier 😂. In the corners of the garment a surplus is left to place the straps.
Literalmente este paso me tomó la mitad del tiempo que siempre. Ojalá me hubiese animado a hacer esto mucho antes 😂. En las esquinas de la prenda se deja un excedente para colocar los breteles.
The straps are hooked on small washers. In total, 4 rings and two slides are needed to transform the straps into adjustable ones.
Los breteles van enganchados en unas pequeñas arandelas. En total se necesitan 4 aros y dos correderas para transformar los breteles en regulables.

One of the main reasons I don't make lingerie to sell is because of the time it takes me to make each garment. But now that I discovered that I am not afraid of the machine at maximum speed I could rethink this. At the very least, it would save quite a bit of time while elasticizing the edges of the garment. I feel fulfilled with this, every time I add a new skill and this makes me very happy ❤️.
Una de las principales razones por las que no hago lencería para vender es por el tiempo que me lleva hacer cada prenda. Pero ahora que descubrí que no le tengo miedo a la máquina a máxima velocidad, podría repensar esto. Por lo menos ahorraría bastante tiempo al coser el elástico de los bordes de la prenda. Me siento satisfecha con esto, cada vez agrego una nueva habilidad y esto me hace muy feliz ❤️.
