Saludos y bendiciones, mi gente bonita de @needleworkmonday, es un gusto saludarles. Les deseo una hermosa semana creativa y productiva, el lunes pasado extrañé no pasar por aquí, tuve aquí, semana muy ocupada y para terminar esta camisa me faltaba el puño, en donde el mayor desafío eran los ojales, quédense conmigo y les cuento como fue dándose todo.
Semanas atrás les había comentado por aquí que estaba haciendo una blusa para la entrega de certificados de mi curso de corte y confección, ya la tenía adelantada hasta las mangas les había hecho, por cierto es lo más lindo de esta blusa.
Sin embargo, le faltaban los puños o la terminación de la manga, es algo que le da un toque de más elegancia a esta prenda de vestir.
Yo había sacado dos piezas en rectángulo, una para cada manga, le pegue entretela blanca para darle más firmeza, la planche para asentarla mejor, sin embargo, no se pegaba del todo, así que me ayude con pega blanca, para mejorar el resultado.
Luego me fije que me faltaba tela, pues no eran dos piezas, sino 4, qué bueno, que aún tenía más tela y volví a cortar y seguir este camino, que ya estaba tardado, je, je, je.
Y empecé a coser, enfrentado los derechos de las telas, primero le pasé costura a mano para asegurar las telas y poder coser con mayor seguridad la máquina. A penas empecé a coser y se escuchó como un desperfecto en la máquina y la costura salió mal y se trabó la máquina.
Resulta que el hilo se enredó todo por la parte de abajo y se detuvo. Tuve que sacar el porta bobina, veo como el hilo no deslizaba y me pareció extraño como el hilo se quedaba atrapado de un lado.
Pensé que se había hecho a perder, porque se veían esas dos puntas que les muestro de la porta bobina hacia adentro. Tuve que detener la costura para buscar las maneras de repararlo.
La llevé a un técnico de máquinas de coser singer y al este verla, me dijo que estaba bien, que podría ser otra cosa, que le podía llevar la máquina para revisarla.
Al decirme esto, fui coloqué el porta bobina y cosí como si nada, je, je, je. Cosas de novatas, exageré un poco, que bueno que me ahorre el pago de la reparación, aunque perdí el tiempo en esa espera.
Empecé a coser, todo el alrededor del puño, luego volteo la pieza y paso costura nuevamente, la verdad que queda muy lindo esta forma de hacer el puño.
Luego continúe, como le dije antes con el verdadero desafío, los ojales, primero practique uno en un trozo de tela y luego me aventure en la blusa.
La verdad no me quedaron tan bien, pero tampoco tan mal para ser los primeros, hay que tener bastante presión y dominio para hacerlo del tamaño justo y saber repasar las costuras. Y así quedaron mis puños.
Y colorín colorado, así mi blusa ha quedado. Cierto que se ve hermosa, las mangas fabulosas, el cuello también me encantó, la tela es bien chévere, cae bastante y no es necesario plancharle, aunque le planche los ruedos, que por cierto todavía me falta pulir esa parte.
Como ven aquí estábamos en la entrega de certificados, que luego les cuento más de ese bonito acontecimiento en mi blog.
Miren a mis compañeras también hicieron sus blusas, la mayoría con la misma tela, eso sí, cada quien hizo su modelo, todas quedaron muy lindas.
El color que escogió el grupo era mostaza; sin embargo, hubo 3 todos, como ven en la primera fila, la que lo tiene más oscuro es porque está de luto y podía usar el mismo color que escogimos.
Ya terminamos el curdo, como ven la mayoría personas de la tercera edad, todas con ganas de seguir aprendiendo como lo estoy yo.
Me siento feliz con estos nuevos aprendizajes en mi vida en el mundo de la costura y espero seguir haciendo más lindas creaciones.

Now my blouse is ready for my promotion

I wish you a beautiful creative and productive week, last Monday I missed not stopping by here, I had here, very busy week and to finish this shirt I was missing the cuff, where the biggest challenge was the buttonholes, stay with me and I'll tell you how everything went.
Weeks ago I had told you here that I was making a blouse for the presentation of certificates of my sewing course, I had it already made, even the sleeves were ready, by the way it is the most beautiful part of this blouse.
However, it was missing the cuffs or the sleeve ending, it is something that gives a touch of more elegance to this garment.
I had taken two pieces in rectangle, one for each sleeve, I glued white interlining to give it more firmness, I ironed it to settle it better, however, it did not stick at all, so I helped myself with white glue, to improve the result.
Then I noticed that I was missing fabric, because there were not two pieces, but 4, good thing, I still had more fabric and went back to cut and follow this path, which was already late, heh, heh, heh, heh.
And I started sewing, facing the right sides of the fabrics, first I sewed by hand to secure the fabrics and to be able to sew more safely with the machine. As soon as I started sewing I heard a malfunction in the machine and the seam went wrong and the machine jammed.
It turns out that the thread got all tangled at the bottom and stopped. I had to take out the bobbin holder, I see how the thread would not slide and it seemed strange how the thread got caught on one side.
I thought it had gotten lost, because you could see those two ends that I show you from the bobbin holder inwards. I had to stop the sewing to look for ways to repair it.
I took it to a singer sewing machine technician and when he saw it, he told me that it was fine, that it could be something else, that I could take the machine to him to check it.
When he told me this, I put the bobbin holder on and sewed as if nothing had happened, heh, heh, heh. Good thing I saved myself the cost of the repair, although I wasted my time waiting for it.
I started to sew, all around the cuff, then I turn the piece over and sew again, the truth is that this way of making the cuff is very nice.
Then I continued, as I told you before with the real challenge, the buttonholes, first I practiced one on a piece of fabric and then I ventured into the blouse.
The truth is that they didn't turn out so well, but not too bad for the first ones, you have to have enough pressure and mastery to make it the right size and to know how to go over the seams. And this is how my cuffs turned out.
And that's how my blouse turned out. It's true that it looks beautiful, the sleeves are fabulous, I also loved the collar, the fabric is very cool, it falls well and it's not necessary to iron it, although I ironed the hems, which by the way I still need to polish that part.

Look at my classmates also made their blouses, most of them with the same fabric, yes, each one made her own model, all of them were very nice.
The color chosen by the group was mustard; however, there were 3 everyone, as you can see in the first row, the one with the darkest color is because she is in mourning and could use the same color we chose.
We finished the course, as you can see most of them are seniors, all of them eager to continue learning as I am.
I feel happy with this new learning in my life in the world of sewing and I hope to continue making more beautiful creations.
