Selecciona la tela con la textura y diseño que más te guste!
Aparte de la máquina de coser, utiliza implementos que faciliten la realización de tu blusa: tijeras de buena calidad, alfileres de costura, reglas curvas, hilo del color de tu tela, cariño y concentración.
Utiliza la regla curva para un acabado prolijo; siempre corta en la línea que trazas.
Mantén los alfileres en donde vas a realizar la costura, retira a medida que vayas avanzando.
Si es tu primera vez con máquina de coser, te recomiendo que observes videos tutoriales y leer el libro de instrucciones; puedes empezar practicando con las orillas de las cortinas, toallas y paños de cocina.
Antes de una costura definitiva, prueba con un retazo de tela, así podrás calibrar tensión del hilo, largo de puntada y tipo de costura que más se adapte a tu tela.
No estires tu tela mientras coses, no importa si es firme o elástica (formará ondas), en ambos casos, forzará la puntada y puedes alterar la sincronía, haciendo que se parta la aguja y debas ir a servicio técnico.
Diseña lo que te guste, inténtalo todo!

El estrés de larga data no es bueno ni recomendable y, últimamente me he podido percatar que mis niveles de ansiedad han subido un poco, a pesar de permanecer calmada, haciendo algo de ejercicio, caminando y escuchando música; pero adivinen: ¡no ha sido suficiente!. Por tanto, me dispuse tratar de encontrar en qué ocupar mi mente y mis manos, así que junto a una amiga, me fui a visitar una de mis tiendas favoritas del pueblo donde vivo: "Tiendas El Castillo", realmente es el paraíso de las telas, donde pude encontrar dos cortes de telas que me gustaron mucho.
En cuanto las ví, mi mente ya sabía que iba a hacer: dos camisas sencillas cuyas muestras para replicar, estaban en casa, a punto de botar; la chica de la tienda me atendió excelente, me hizo varias recomendaciones, así que compré todo lo necesario (hilos, agujas, alfileres de costura) e inclusive me recomendaron llevar una regla curva, para realizar la forma de los cuellos y mangas.
El paso a paso es realmente sencillo:
- Tomas tu camisa, franela, blusa, que desear realizar.
- Prepara la tela nueva: dobla a la mitad, procurando que queden bien centradas las dos capas o lados de la camisa.
- Con ayuda de pinzas o alfileres de costura, marca y sujeta la camisa a la tela.
- Con una tijera para telas, corta el contorno de la tela, procura dejar un (01) centímetro para la costura
- Con ayuda de la regla redonda de costura, marca el cuello delantero; corta al ras de la marca que realizaste.
- Ahora, preparamos la máquina de coser: elije la puntada que te guste y se adapte a la tela; recuerda que la aguja y el hilo deben ser acorde al tipo de tela de tu elección.
- Une hombros y laterales(después del área de las axilas), luego haz el dobladillo en el borde inferior, para finalizar dobladillo simple en axilas y cuello.
- Cose con cuidado; en esta ocasión la tela es algo elástica, lo que me dificultaba el hacer dobladillo (y con el zigzag normal, se formaban ondas), por lo que opté hacer un doblez simple, con una puntada elástica decorativa, como se muestra en la foto nro 8.
¡Ya tendrás una camisa a tu gusto, lista para lavar y usar!
Recomendaciones:
- Si es tu primera vez cosiendo, te sugiero que hilvanes la pieza manualmente, con puntadas medias largas, para que puedas retirar el hilo facilmente una vez que realices la costura en máquina.
- Utiliza algodón, no te recomiendo telas que sean muy elásticas o que se enrosquen en las puntas.
- No estires con fuerza en ningún momento la tela, puede crear ondas y ¡juralo!, no te va a gustar el resultado.
- Disfruta el proceso, ponle cariño y corazón a lo que estás realizando.

Long-term stress is neither good nor advisable, and lately I've noticed that my anxiety levels have gone up a bit, despite staying calm, doing some exercise, walking and listening to music; but guess what: it hasn't been enough! So, I set out to try to find something to occupy my mind and hands, so together with a friend, I went to visit one of my favourite shops in the town where I live: "Tiendas El Castillo", it really is a fabric paradise, where I was able to find two fabric cuts that I really liked.
As soon as I saw them, my mind already knew what I was going to do: two simple shirts whose samples to replicate, were at home, about to be thrown away; the girl at the shop was excellent, she gave me several recommendations, so I bought everything I needed (threads, needles, sewing pins) and even recommended me to take a curved ruler, to make the shape of the collars and sleeves.
The step by step is really simple:
- You take your shirt, flannel, blouse, that you want to make.
- Prepare the new fabric: fold in half, making sure that the two layers or sides of the shirt are well centred.
- Using tweezers or sewing pins, mark and pin the shirt to the fabric.
- With a pair of fabric scissors, cut the outline of the fabric, leaving one (01) centimetre for the seam.
- With the help of the round sewing ruler, mark the front collar; cut flush with the mark you have made.
- Now, prepare the sewing machine: choose the stitch that you like and adapts to the fabric; remember that the needle and thread must be according to the type of fabric of your choice.
- Join shoulders and sides (after the underarm area), then hem the bottom edge, and finish with a simple hem at the underarm and neck.
- Sew carefully; on this occasion the fabric is a bit stretchy, which made it difficult to hem (and with the normal zigzag, it would form waves), so I opted to make a simple fold, with a decorative elastic stitch, as shown in photo nr. 8.
You will now have a shirt to your liking, ready to wash and wear!
Recommendations:
- If it's your first time sewing, I suggest that you baste the piece manually, with medium long stitches, so that you can remove the thread easily once you've sewn it on the machine.
- Use cotton, I don't recommend fabrics that are too stretchy or that curl at the ends.
- Don't stretch the fabric tightly at any time, it can create waves and you won't like the result.
- Enjoy the process, put love and heart into what you are doing.
