A este nivel de diciembre, muchos hemos colocado nuestro hermoso árbol de navidad, una tradicional costumbre ancestral que cuenta con muchas historias y versiones de su origen, pero todas coinciden en que éste ícono navideño, cada elemento cuenta con un significado muy significativo:
- El Árbol, simboliza la vida inagotable, el crecimiento y el amor a Dios;
- Las Luces, representan la luz de Cristo,
- Las Esferas, evocan los dones que Dios ha dado a sus hijos,
- Los Lazos son los vínculos familiares y
- La Estrella, ese detalle en la cúspide de árbol, hace un llamado a la fe que ha guiado a cada hijo de Dios en la vida cristiana.

Bien sea para colocar en nuestro árbol de navidad, usar como adorno en nuestro escritorio de trabajo o en ése lugar especial, quiero obsequiarte este fácil y muy emotivo detalle.
Let's make a Crochet Christmas Tree
Whether it's to put on our Christmas tree, use as a decoration on our desk at work or in that special place, I want to give you this easy and very touching gift.
Materiales a utilizar:
- Hilo de crochet (lana, pabilo, algodón, etc.)
- Accesorios (perlas, cristales, acrílicos en forma de estrella, etc.)
- Aros de bisutería (diversos tamaños)
- Aguja de crochet (el número depende del grosor del hilo)
- Hilo de bisutería Nro. 16
- Pinzas de bisutería (corte, plana, redonda)
- Cinta de raso
- Tijera
Materials to be used:
- Crochet thread (wool, wick, cotton, etc.).
- Accessories (pearls, crystals, star-shaped acrylics, etc.)
- Costume jewellery earrings (various sizes)
- Crochet needle (the number depends on the thickness of the yarn)
- Costume jewellery thread No. 16
- Fashion jewellery clips (cut, flat, round)
- Satin ribbon
- Scissors
Primera parte:
Lo primero que haremos, es tomar uno de nuestros aros (de preferencia los más grandes) e iniciamos con un punto cadeneta que abrace el aro, tal como se muestra en la imagen. Luego, continuamos realizando doce (12) puntos bajos, que vamos a cerrar en nuestra primera cadeneta.
A partir de allí realizamos:
Segunda vuelta: un aumento (dos puntos bajos en el punto base)
Tercera vuelta: un punto bajo en cada punto anterior (un total de 24 puntos)
Cuarta vuelta, repetir: un punto bajo, un aumento, hasta completar la vuelta.
Quinta vuelta: un punto bajo (igual que en la tercera vuelta, un total de 36 puntos).
First part:
The first thing we will do, is to take one of our hoops (preferably the larger ones) and start with a chain stitch that hugs the hoop, as shown in the picture. Then, we continue by making twelve (12) single crochet stitches, which we are going to close on our first chain stitch.
From there we make:
Second row: one increase (two single crochets in the base stitch).
Third row: one single crochet in each previous stitch (a total of 24 stitches).
Fourth row, repeat: one single crochet, one double crochet, until the whole row is completed.
Fifth row: one single crochet (same as in the third row, a total of 36 stitches).
Una vez, que hemos alcanzado el tamaño deseado, vamos a realizar la vuelta del adorno, que consiste en (repetir): un punto bajo, tres puntos de cadeneta, un punto bajo al lado del anterior, tres puntos de cadeneta... De ésta manera daremos ondas a nuestro motivo.
Once we have reached the desired size, we are going to make the ornament round, which consists of (repeat): a single crochet, three chain stitches, a single crochet next to the previous one, three chain stitches... In this way we will give waves to our motif.
Ajustamos nuestro hilo y cerramos muy bien el motivo. A continuación, seguiremos realizando otros motivos, tomando la precaución de ir disminuyendo el tamaño, para que así vaya dando forma de árbol, más adelante.
Segunda Parte
Ya hemos llegado a la parte del ensamblado de nuestro árbol de navidad. A continuación, colocamos en nuestra mesa de trabajo todos los elementos necesarios para darle la forma deseada:
We adjust our thread and close the motif very tightly. We will then continue to make other motifs, taking care to reduce the size, so that it will take the shape of a tree later on.

Dentro del hilo de bisutería, colocamos: un acrílico cuadrado, que dará la forma de tallo, luego el motivo de crochet grande y dependiendo del tamaño de los orificios de los motivos, colocamos perlas o acrílicos redondos que no dejen que los motivos se unan entre si, tal como en las siguientes fotografías:
Inside the costume jewellery thread, we place: a square acrylic, which will give the stem shape, then the big crochet motif and depending on the size of the holes of the motifs, we place pearls or round acrylics that do not let the motifs join each other, as in the following pictures:
Para finalizar, realizamos las terminaciones con las pinzas de bisutería: el aro de agarre en la parte superior y el cierre en la parte inferior; hazlo de una manera firme, para que el motivo quede bien armado, resistente y que no pierda su forma.
Finally, we make the finishing touches with the jewellery clips: the clasp ring at the top and the clasp at the bottom; do this firmly, so that the motif is well assembled, resistant and does not lose its shape.
Resultado Final
Sólo resta colocar un ganchillo para sujetar en el árbol de navidad y una cinta para realizar un lazo justo debajo de la estrella. Lo colocamos en su sitio y observen lo lindo que ha quedado.
Final Result
All that's left to do is to attach a crochet hook to the Christmas tree and a ribbon to make a bow just below the star. We put it in place and see how nice it looks.
