Hello my beautiful people, I hope you are all in good health. I sincerely apologize for my three-month absence, due to several factors that unexpectedly came into my life.
One of the most significant reasons for my absence was that I didn't have Wi-Fi equipment to get a signal and communicate with the outside world. Another important factor in my life was that my husband was going through a difficult health situation. About twenty years ago, he suffered a stroke and then relapsed with seizures. Between caring for my husband and managing the house, I was completely consumed by it. There came a point when I collapsed and wasn't motivated to continue with my sewing projects.
Thank God, after the storm comes the calm. I can say that my husband hasn't fully recovered, but I see him improving every day. On the other hand, I thank God that I was able to get my Wi-Fi equipment back, so that in addition to connecting with the outside world, I can also enjoy the range of sewing techniques that the digital world has to offer.
This week I returned to what I love most: being surrounded by fabrics, threads, needles, and scissors.
When my daughter saw me slowly getting my sewing things ready, she came up to me and asked if I could make her a blouse for a family Christmas outing. I grabbed my purse and went shopping with my daughter. She wanted an asymmetrical blouse with a collar. I have to tell you, while I was buying the fabric, I felt a thrill, like a child with a new toy. I spent two days making the blouse. I encountered several difficulties. When I started drafting the pattern, I couldn't figure out how to achieve my goal until, with a lot of patience, I finally managed. Then, when I started sewing, the fabric didn't cooperate because it's stretchy, but with patience, I was able to do it.
Without further ado, I'll explain the process.
Hola mis gente hermosa , espero esten muy bien de salud. Pido mil disculpas por tres meses de ausencia, debido a varios factores que llegaron a mi vida sin pedir permiso.
Uno de los factores mas resaltantes por los cuales me ausente es por que no tenia equipo de wifi con el cual tener señal para comunicarme con el mudo exterior. Otro factor relevante en mi vida fue que mi esposo estaba atravesando por una situación difícil de salud, ya que hace aproximandamente veinte años sufrio un ECV y pues volvio a recaer con convulciones. Entre atender a mi esposo y atender las cosas de la casa, me absorbía demasiado el tiempo llego un momento que colapse y no estaba animada a seguir a delante con mis proyectos de costura.
Gracias a Dios después de la tormenta viene la calma. Puedo decir que mi esposo, no se ha recuperado en su totalidad, pero cada dia lo veo mejor. Por otro lado doy gracias al altísimo porque pude obtener nuevamente el equipo de wifi, para ademas de conectarme con el mundo exterior tambien puedo de gustar de la gama en costura que el mundo digital nos puede ofrecer.
Esta semana me incorpore a lo que mas me gusta, estar entre telas, hilos, agujas y tijera.
Mi hija al ver que poco a poco iba arreglando mis cosas de costura, se me acerco y me pregunto si podía hacerle una blusas para salir a dar un paseo familiar navidad. Tome mi cartera y fui con mi hija de compras. Ella quiso una blusa asimétrica con cuello, les cuento que mientras compraba la tela sentía una emocion, asi como cuando un niño tiene un juguete nuevo. Pase dos dias haciendo la blusa, tuve varias dificultades, al comenzar a sacar el molde no encontraba la manera de llegar a mi objetivo hasta que con mucha calma lo logre, luego cuando comencé a coser la tela no me ayudaba ya que es stretch pero con paciencia pude hacerlo.
Sin mas preámbulo les explico el proceso.
For this project I used:
1 meter of micro peach fabric
Measuring tape

Thread in the same shade as the fabric
Bond paper for the pattern

After gathering all my materials, I proceeded to transfer my daughter's measurements onto a piece of bond paper. Then, I traced the asymmetrical silhouette and cut the fabric from it.
Despues de tener todos mis materiales procedi a plasmar las medidas de mi hija en un `papel bond. luego de colocar las medidas saque la
silueta al estilo asimterico y de alli corte la tela.
After cutting the front and back pieces, I proceeded to sew the shoulder and side pieces, two back pieces and two front pieces, including the blouse lining.
Luego de cortar el delantero y el trasero, procedi a coser la parte de hombro y la parte de costado, dos partes traseras y dos partes delanteras donde incluye forro de la blusa.
After sewing, I started on the facing. I kept turning it right side out, and it still wouldn't work. I turned it right side out again, and it still didn't work. I realized the job was messed up. I had to unpick and sew each flap separately.
Despues de pasar costura me puse hacer el embonado, volteaba y no conseguia el derecho, volvia a voltear y no conseguia resultado, me di cuenta que el trabajo estaba mao. Me toco descoser y coser cada tapapor separado.
After that I proceeded to cut two strips, one 38cm long x 10cm wide for the top.
Depues de alli procedi a cortar dos tiras una de 38cm de largo x 10cm de ancho para la parte de arriba.
Then cut another strip 20 cm long x 2.5 cm wide for the top part, pinned it in place and proceeded to sew it.
Luego corte otra tira de 20 cm de largo x 2,5cm de ancho para la parte de arriba, ajuste con alfilieres y procedi a pasarle costura.
I loved this experience, even though it was my first time making this version of the blouse. It was very beautiful and enriching. My star model looks gorgeous. It's worth noting that the photos were taken with my Tecno Spark 30C and edited in Canva.
Me encanto esta experiencia, a pesar de ser mi primera vez haciendo esta version de blusa, fue my bonita y enriquecedora. Mi modelo estrella se ve hermosisima. Cabe destacar que las fotos fueron tomadas desde mi Tecno Spark 30 C y editadas en canva.
