Feliz inicio de semana amigos de @needlewormonday, deseo que tengan una excelente semana de lindos proyectos que nos llenan el corazón de amor. Esta semana estuve revisando mis grandes bolsas de tela y me encontré con dos encargos de mi suegra que había olvidado, me los entregó luego de mi operación para que se los hiciera cuando me sintiera mejor y ya de eso han pasado 6 meses así que antes que me reclame decidí ponerme manos a la obra y hacerlos.
Estos dos proyectos tienen sus características particulares hoy les mostraré como salí creo que victoriosa de uno de ellos, se trata de una transformación a una blusa que mis cuñadas le regalaron en navidad pero que a mi suegra no le gustó el diseño porque se sentía cómoda en ella y es que todo diseño no es para toda persona. Aquí les muestro el proceso.
Happy start to the week, friends of @needlewormonday. I hope you have a wonderful week filled with beautiful projects that fill our hearts with love. This week I was going through my big fabric bags and found two orders from my mother-in-law that I had forgotten about. She gave them to me after my operation so I could make them when I felt better, and it's been six months since then, so before she complains, I decided to get down to work and ke them.
These two projects have their own unique characteristics. Today, I'll show you how I think I successfully completed one of them. It involves transforming a blouse that my sisters-in-law gave my mother-in-law for Christmas, but she didn't like the design because she felt uncomfortable in it. Not every design is for everyone. Here's the process.
Comencé por colocarme la blusa y tratar de ver a mi suegra en ella y la verdad no la vi jajaja, luego lo siguiente fue descoser toda esa tela de la parte superior que hacía como un lazo enorme y que era el encanto de la blusa, ese encanto no irá para la nueva blusa. Esta parte no me cansaré de decir que no me gusta, descoser me estresa y repito es mejor hacer una prenda desde cero que descoser para rehacer pero bueno no quedó de otra.
I started by putting on the blouse and trying to see my mother-in-law in it, and honestly, I didn't see her, ha ha ha. Then the next thing was to unpick all that fabric from the top that formed a huge bow and was the charm of the blouse. That charm won't be going into the new blouse. I'll never tire of saying that I don't like this part. Unpicking stresses me out, and I repeat, it's better to make a garment from scratch than to unpick it to redo it, but well, there was no other choice.
Luego me fui mis retazos para ubicar una tela que me sirviera para agregar una pieza a la nueva blusa, así me decidí por una estampada en base negra que me funcionaba, con ella recorté una pieza para el pecho y espalda superior con un ligero corte circular para no hacerlo recto y con la pieza negra que retiré de la blusa corté unas mangas tipo campana para darle un diseño un poco elegante y no deshacerme de ese pedazo de tela que retiré.
Then I went through my scraps to find a fabric that would work for adding a piece to the new blouse. so I decided on a black-based print that worked for me. I cut a piece for the chest and upper back with a slight circular cut so it wouldn't be straight, and with the black piece I removed from the blouse, I cut some bell-shaped sleeves to give it a slightly elegant design and not throw away that piece of fabric I had removed.
Lo siguiente fue armar la nueva blusa cosí la parte estampada a la parte superior de la blusa (pecho y espalda) y cosí las mangas para luego terminar en la parte trasera con un botón de manera que se hiciera fácil colocar la prenda ya que las telas utilizadas son rígidas.
The next step was to assemble the new blouse. I sewed the printed part to the top of the blouse (front and back) and sewed the sleeves, then finished the back with a button so that it would be easy to put on, since the fabrics used are stiff.
Finalmente terminé esta transformación que pude lograr con éxito gracias a un poco de creatividad e ingenio y como siempre dando gracias a mis bolsas de retazos que me salvan la vida en este tipo de desafíos jajaja.
I finally finished this transformation, which I was able to accomplish successfully thanks to a little creativity and ingenuity, and as always, thanks to my scrap bags that save my life in these kinds of challenges, ha ha ha.
Espero les haya gustado este proyecto de transformación de prendas que en este caso aunque no se trata de prendas en desuso no siempre una prenda nueva nos gusta como nos queda. saludos amigos y nos leemos pronto.
