The Ultimate DIY Hack: Transforming My Used Trousers into Something New and Better.

Hi Sewmates! I know it's been quite a while since I last posted here. Well, I'm happy to announce that I'm back! So today, I'll be sharing a DIY tutorial on how I turned my trousers into a skirt.

Lately, I've been trying to invest in skirts since I barely have any in my wardrobe. There was a time in my life when all I had in my wardrobe was skirts and gowns, but that person isn't me. "People change," and I kinda did over the years. In the current economic situation in Nigeria, I've had to get creative. I found these old white trousers that I never wear, so I decided to upcycle them into a skirt.

Here are the steps of how I did it:

Step 1: I removed the crotch area from the front to the back.

(The trouser)

Step 2: I joined the back side together, leaving a small slit for easy movement.

Step 3: I sewed the front part together.

Step 4: I added a jagged effect at the bottom for a fashionable touch.

I wanted a long skirt so I didn't bother reducing the length.

What do you think? Did I do the right thing converting the trousers into a skirt? Let me know in the comments!
