A second chance at an article of clothing (Spanish / English)

publicacion.png

Greetings NeedleWorkMonday community, I have been a little absent due to new personal projects related to sewing since I started an enterprise with the name AVOCADOROSA that deals with textiles, despite this I return to show you how I gave the second to a garment of several that They gave me a gift from a clothing store for having manufacturing defects which make it impossible to sell to the public.

On this occasion the leggings were terribly frayed at the back leaving a large hole, in addition to this, I was about two sizes larger than my size as you can see in the following images:

I decided to make a good repair unstitch the waistband with the help of a seam seam ripper:

Once the waistband is detached, choose to sew the part of the suit reducing two more centimeters in order to eliminate the large hole by forming and reduce a few centimeters.

I also reduced two more centimeters of legs on the sides to get it to stay tight to the body which is how I usually dress, I attached the waistband when I finished the reductions and repair of the hole.

Great work! It's always so much work removing the waistband, but it has to be done if you want the garment to look neat.

PS: You don't need to use the 'ocd' tag when posting in the NeedleworkMonday community, we recommend quality posts to them :)

Thanks for the good work, you really have to dedicate time to a garment to have good results, and thanks for the last of the tag I did not know.
