I am as lazy as you when it comes to making outfits for myself, maybe it's a thing of commitment finding it easy to make items for other people and don't bother to do one for ourselves
It is actually wrong though because we should be the first to always display our work so that people can see the creativity and patronize us if it is in a business setting.
