The transformation of old Honda car seat to new seat

Happy Wednesday to you all the needleworkers, how are you all doing today, i hope you guy's are doing great. I feel so excited to be here today to share my creative work not minding how things are being with me.

I love this family so much and this community is my preferred community. First because anything i really appreciate the Almighty God for the give of life to everyone in this community and for keeping us out of sickness.

Today i am sharing with you guys how i make this black old seat turn out new again like carry come.

I really love black seat, and anytime a customer give me black seat i always feel happy because it is very easy to find black leather in the market with good quality. The seat above is the one i have finished working on it, let look at the seat before.

Here is the old seat. The car that owns this seat is Honda and to be sincere to sew honda seat is always very difficult because it is full of design and patterns.

Reason of working on this seat

This seat was given to me to work on it because the leather has expired and the surface of the leather become very strong like iron and some part of the leather change color and it was not making the car need.

Tools used

  • sewing machine
  • thread
  • spanners
  • pliar
  • screw drivers etc

Before i get the work done, i first cut a piece of the old leather to market to look for something that matches with the old leather and here is what i gotten.

To talk about how get this work, the is one man i work on this same seat and one of is friend saw it so he ask him to give my contacts to him and i call me. Although i did not post that very seat here. I always thanks God for the beautiful skill i have.

Many do not see sewing of seat has important because the dont see it simple but believe me it is simple.
When ever i post here the are always very big difference in the seat i post here because seat come with difference pattern but process to achieve it is the same, just like clothes or crochet the have one way to make it but pattern difference.

That is why when i use one process to discribe my work don't say i keep one posting the same this because is never the same.

So let look at some steps i follow to make this seat.

  • i loose the seat separate so that i can have easy access when i am covering the seat. And this is done through using some of the tools list above to loose it by following it one after the other.

  • the next thing i did is, i use a sewing tape to take the measurement of the old seat, considering the vertical and the horizontal length of each pattern of the seat. After i then use chalk and write it on the body of the seat .

  • i then transfer the measurement to the new leather by marking out those measurements on the new leather and then use rule to join those points together.

After then, i cut them out

  • after cutting it out i then proceed to form the new pattern of the seat, to do this i place the cut leather on the top of the old seat, then i draw the shape out there after i place it on a roof material and then gum it together to make it smooth and stronger.

I don't cut it out for sewing process

  • after preparing the seat pattern, i then use sewing machine to join those pattern together and this can be done simple has far has you can sew. After sewing the new seat cover i then clip it to the old seat so that old seat can turn new with the new leather.

The photos above show the cover of the seat process

  • after covering the seat i then tight the seat back and here is the outcome of it.

How do you see the outcome of this seat, is it be beautiful and new?

please note all photos are new and this post is original created by me and can't find it anywhere

Thanks everyone for your time and for going through my post.
