Hello #NeedleWorkMonday community! Today very happy I bring you a Christmas project. We are already close to the most exciting time of the year. Christmas is the most beautiful time for me, for such reason I am motivated and I started, to make my ornaments and I started with Mr. Santa Claus 🎅. I had not made any ornament because I had no material of the characteristic colors of these days like red, white and green. But suddenly yesterday going through a box I got this package of yarn, which brought me a lot of joy and I immediately started the knitting of the Santa 🎅 that already days ago I had filed. Without more to do, now I will give the step by step.
¡Hola comunidad #NeedleWorkMonday! Hoy muy feliz les traigo un proyecto navideño. Ya estamos cerca de la fecha más emocionante del año. La navidad es la época más bella para mí, por tal razón estoy motivada y comencé, a hacer mis adornos y empecé por el señor Santa Claus 🎅. No había realizado ningún adorno porque no tenía material de los colores característicos de estos días como el rojo, blanco y verde. Pero repentinamente ayer revisando una caja conseguí este paquete de hilos, lo cual me trajo mucha alegría e inmediatamente comencé el tejido del Santa 🎅 que ya días pasados tenía archivado. Sin más que hacer, ahora paso a dar el paso a paso.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
- Pink, white and red acrylic wool yarn.
- 01 small pearl.
- 02 movable eyes.
- Liquid silicone.
- Crochet needle No. 2.
- Wool needle.
- Hilo de lana acrílica color rosado, blanco y rojo.
- 01 perla pequeña.
- 02 ojos móviles.
- Silicona líquida.
- Aguja crochet N.º 2.
- Aguja lanera.

Ch: chain(s).
mp: half point.
mpa: half high point.
aum: increases.
pa: high point.
pr: slipped stitch.

Process//Proceso:
- First I went through some boxes in my art room, wow, I had stuff there to make Christmas projects. Sometimes things get lost, I always try to tidy up the room, but I forget them if I move them around. I can't figure out the formula to keep order.
- Primero revisé unas cajas en mi cuarto de arte, wow, allí tenía material para hacer proyectos navideños. A veces se nos extravían cosas, siempre trato de ordenar el cuarto, pero se me olvidan si los cambio de lugar. No consigo la fórmula para mantener el orden.
Pink and white color: 🎅 face and beard.
v1: Make magic ring, in the 3 chs, 10 st, last st unfinished leaving two loops to insert the white yarn, 10 st hiding the pink yarn, 1 st unfinished leaving two loops to again insert the pink color, and pr. And we close the ring. Also, we hide the pink yarn with the knitting needle.
v2: Continue with the pink yarn and knit 3 chs, st, in all the previous stitches (10), st without ending, leaving two loops to insert the white yarn, purl (2pa), st, repeat sequence in each stitch of the previous row, pr.
v3: Continue with white yarn, 11 mp, in all previous pink stitches, continue with 5 pa, loosen loop and insert needle in first pa, pick up loop and pass forming pineapple stitch, 3 chs return loop, insert in first ch and remove, 3 chs, insert in next stitch, repeat nine times this sequence until white color is covered, pr.
Color rosado y blanco: Cara y barba de 🎅
v1: Hacer anillo mágico, en el 3 chs, 10 pa, el último pa sin terminar quedando dos lazadas para insertar el hilo blanco, 10 pa ocultando el hilo rosado, 1 pa sin terminar quedando dos lazadas para nuevamente insertar el color rosado, y pr. Y cerramos el anillo. Además, ocultamos el hilo rosado con la aguja lanera.
v2:Seguimos con el color rosado y hacemos 3 chs, pa, en todos los puntos anteriores (10), pa sin terminar quedando dos lazadas para insertar el hilo color blanco, hacer aum (2pa), pa, repetir secuencia en cada punto de vuelta anterior, pr.
v3: Seguimos con el hilo color blanco, 11 mp, en todo punto anterior color rosado, seguimos con 5 pa, soltamos lazada e insertamos aguja en el primer pa tomar lazada y pasar formando punto piña, 3 chs devolver lazada insertar en primer ch y sacar, 3 chs, insertar en el punto siguiente, repetir nueve veces esta secuencia hasta cubrir el color blanco, pr.
Color red: Santa's hat 🎅
- v1: Insert needle and red yarn into the inside stitch of each previous mp leaving loops on the needle (11).(Loop stitch).
- v2: We take loop and pull out one by one until we get 11 loops on the needle.
- v3: Then we take out one loop little by little until we have 09 loops on the needle, because we make two decreases on each side.
- v4, until v10 we decrease in two by two until we finish.
- v11: Then you make mp around the cap in red. Knot, hide and cut yarn.
Color rojo: Gorro de Santa 🎅
- v1: Insertar aguja e hilo color rojo en el punto interno de cada mp anterior quedando lazadas en la aguja (11).(Punto lazada)
- v2: Tomamos lazada y sacamos una por una hasta obtener 11 lazadas en la aguja.
- v3: Luego vamos sacando una lazada poco a poco hasta volver a tener 09 lazadas en la aguja, porque se hace dos disminuciones en cada lado.
- v4, hasta v10 se va disminuyendo en dos en dos hasta concluir.
- v11: Luego se hace mp alrededor del gorro en color rojo. Se anuda, se oculta y corta hilos.
Assembly//Ensamblado:
Mustache:
- I took 10 strands of 8 cm, in the middle I tied a knot, then at each end, leaving nice whiskers for Mr. Santa. I sewed it on.
Nose:
- I made 4 chs, it goes back in the first chs, mp in each ch, repeat again until I have a little ball that would be the nose. I sewed it on.
Hat:
- A small pearl was sewn on the tip of the hat.
- A red handle was made.
Mouth:
- We embroidered the mouth with red thread.
Eyes:
- We glued the mobile eyes 👀 with liquid silicone.
Bigote:
- Tome 10 hilos de 8 cm, en la mitad le hice un nudo, luego en cada extremo, quedando unos lindos bigotes para el señor Santa. Lo cosí.
Nariz:
- Hice 4 chs, se devuelve en el primer chs, mp en cada ch, volver a repetir hasta tener como una bolita que sería la nariz. Lo cosí.
Gorro:
- Se cosió en la punta del gorro una perla pequeña.
- Se hizo una asa color rojo.
Boca:
- Bordamos con hlio rojo la boca.
Ojos:
- Se pegaron los ojos 👀 móviles con silicona líquida.

Muy Contenta porque es mi primer adorno navideño del año 2023, y ya tengo otros en mente que pronto publicaré. Este Santa 🎅 lo realicé con hilo de lana acrílica, por lo que salió más grande que el patrón, mide 10 cm, también le modifique la forma del bigote, ya que no me gustó el bigote original.
Santa Claus 🎅 is an iconic figure at Christmas because he is the most beloved character of all children. When my kids were little, all those years they had their toys for their good behavior. Also in adolescence they received some vouchers in money instead of toys, because they really deserved those gifts, for being good children and very obedient. They loved Santa 🎅 who kept treats and cookies for them. My children very excitedly waited for the day of the gifts, that is, the day of the birth of the baby Jesus or God on December 24.
Santa Claus 🎅 es una figura emblemática en navidad porque es el personaje más amado de todos los niños. Cuando mis hijos eran pequeños, todos esos años tuvieron sus juguetes por su buen comportamiento.
