Sadly we nevertheless had to cut a part of the tree last week, the neighbors went on with complaining... I hope the tree regrows very fast :-D
ANd yes, often such task (negotiate with neighbors) is done by women, so I think it also ok, to sometimes complained a bit :-DDDDD
