A beautiful morning to you. I'm excited to share with you this morning how I made these lovely shirts, they are made of checked fabric, full cotton, very high quality.
I decided to make two shirts out of the fabrics, one with pockets and the other with no pockets.
I will be showing you guys step by step how I made these lovely shirts
MATERIALS USED
- fabrics (checked material)
- collar stay
- paper stay
- thread
- chest gum
CUTTING PROCEAS
I've explained severally on how to cut a shirt so I may not be going too deep about that this morning but rather explained pictorally. Below are the processes
SEWING PROCESS
first thing to do is to apply you chest gum on the allowances for the button holes, then sew, thereafter you join the shoulders together with back landing, after that had been done, you notch the shoulder point
Then for the one that has pocket, I cut some pieces out of the fabric not straight but a semi landscape to give it a design, making the pocket 4.5inches by 5.5inches, and the cover 2.5inches by 4.5inches. I turned the pocket cover then I place on the body and sew
Then I fixed the sleeve placket, joined it to the body also fixed the curve
after cutting the collar making use of the exact neck measurements then I applied on the fabric, turned it, trimmed the neck to the size of the neck created then I fixed it.
I fixed the button and the button holes.
