I had a blouse very similar to the one you used as a base for your new jacket. The crossover looked horrible and I only wore it once.... I love the way you've transformed it, I agree that the fabric is very pretty and deserved to be shown off properly. Thanks to you it now has a new life, which I hope will be a long one for you to enjoy it many times. How funny about the trick to fix the metal zips, now I think of the times I've thrown away a garment for that reason without having tried your remedy, I hope to remember it for the future. I can't wait to see the whole special ‘showstopper’ dress... I fell in love with that openwork, ideal for the approaching summer.
