These are so cute! I bet they would make good warmth pillows (? not sure what to call those?) as well - where you fill them with buckwheat hulls or rice and lavender and you can heat them in the microwave if you have one and put it someplace where you are sore or to help you sleep.
I love that these are for a baby. It's probably better that you did extra stitching on the parts anyway, in case the baby chews on them! So the problem may have been a blessing. :)
