I made a bubu gown using Ankara fabric.

Hello everyone in this community, how is everything going?
I hope it is great, mine is going on well as usual.

There are alot of work to be done, motherhood responsibilities are piled up and i also need to make sure that my customers are satisfied.
I have learnt on how to balance family and work life
Most times it's draining but we keep pushing.

Today i decided to make a short bubu gown for a client,i had kept this fabric for so long because she didn't indicate interest in using it soon, but as soon as i got a call from her i decided to work on it immediately.
From what she said ,she says she's traveling with it and i seriously didn't want disappoint her.

Here are the materials i used in creating this gown

  • Ankara fabric
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape

The first step i took was to cut out the back and the front side, since it was a bubu gown i had to put in extra inches because there was no zip.

For the front part of it i cut out a v-shape design for the neck, and i designed it with a different fabrics that looks similar.

I placed the different fabric on the front side of it and sew, below is the picture of gow it came out.

For the sleeves,i made a short sleeve for the gown
I cut it out and sew it, joining all the pieces together and the gown was ready.

Here is the bubu gown.

I loved the print you used on this fabric, and it also looks very fresh. That open V-neck is one of my favorites; it's the best for the heat where I live. It turned out beautiful. Congratulations.
