Sewing a simple style that fitted perfectly well on me.

Hello everyone,am glad to be here again and to share my work with you all
It's been a stressful day emotionally but what keeps me going is focusing my attention on my work
It has a way of creating joy to me as a person despite whats going on.

Today i didn't make any dress for someone but i was intentional about being happy,so i decided to create something for myself.
I had this ankara fabric,it is a friend's traditional marriage uniform, but i didn't sew mine immediately because there was no time for me and i was deeply involved in the marriage.

So today,i got the material and i decided to sew it and be happy.
The materials i used were

  • Scissors
  • Measuring tap
  • Black lining,hook and
    a black colour thread

The first thing i did was to arrange the fabric,in a proper way for measurements
After folding it ,i took the length measurements which was 40inches.

For the next step i proceeded in taking my shoulder measurements which was 15inches

I took my burst measurements and i added two extra inches to it for sewing allowance.
And i cut it through.

The next step i created was to cut out the sleeve for the hand.
I did two of it for both hands.

After cutting it all out for sewing,i also cut out the black lining to use for the sewing.
Then i joined all the pieces up for sewing.

Finally my dress was ready and i am glad
that i made it today @needleworkmonday

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HAS GONE THROUGH MY POST.
