Dios los bendiga de una manera especial y grande! Espero que todos se encuentren muy bien! El día de hoy me complace ser una vez más parte del estupendo concurso de la comunidad #Nedleworkmonday organizado por @crosheille, donde nos invita a crear una joya para nuestras madres pero de una manera muy especial utilizando nuestras agujas, un tema que me parece extraordinario porque siento que hice una joya para otra joya; mi abuela, mujer ejemplar más valiosa que las piedras más preciosas.

Today I am pleased to be once again part of the wonderful #Nedleworkmonday community contest organized by @crosheille where he invites us to create a jewel for our mothers but in a very special way using our needles, a theme that seems extraordinary because I feel that I made a jewel for another jewel; My grandmother, an exemplary woman, more valuable than the most precious stones.

Hablar sobre las madres siempre ha sido un tema que conmueve mucho mi corazon, me causa alegría, admiración, orgullo, nostalgia, tristeza, insertidumbre y trae a mi un sin fin de pensamientos o recuerdos, o por lo menos eso es lo que a mí me sucede; tal vez porque sé lo que es vivir sin mi madre, lo que es que mi abuela aún en su tiempo para descansar haya hecho todo por sacar adelante a mis hermanos y a mi, o quizás porque en el transcurso de la vida encontré una mujer que aún no siendo de mi sangre, me considiera su hija y me da el cariño como si así lo fuese.
Talking about mothers has always been a topic that moves my heart a lot, it causes me joy, admiration, pride, nostalgia, sadness, insecurities and brings me endless thoughts or memories, or at least that is what It happens to me, maybe because I know what it is like to live without my mother, what it means that my grandmother, even in her time to rest, has done everything to get my brothers and me forward, or maybe because in the course of life I found a woman that even though she is not of my blood, she considers me her daughter and gives me love as if she were.
Tendría muchas personas a quien poder dedicar este espacio pero he elegido a mi abuela, y como no hacerlo, si a ellá le debo mucho y más; aún cuando no me dió la vida, tomó el rol de mi madre y
empleó toda su fuerza, todo su amor, toda su sabiduría para enseñarme el bien y ayudarme a ser quien hoy soy, tengo la dicha de tenerla y siempre agradezco a mi Padre Celestial por ella.

La conozco muy bien y sé que a ella no le agradan las joyas, a veces me dice que por el calor que le provocan, otras veces me dice que por su religión y en ocasiones me dice que ya está muy vieja para usar eso jajajaja. Sin embargo no quería hacer algo para alguien más, entonces le pregunté que quería que le hiciera. Ella me dijo, hazme un cintillo (diadema).

No estaba segura si esto era una joya por lo cual investigue un poco y resulta que si lo es, aunque hay muchos diseños un diadema es considerada una joya para el cabello o una corona para sujetar el cabello hacia atrás. Entonces quise hacer una muy especial para mí reina que cumpliera con los requisitos de este fabuloso concurso y a la vez agradar y complacer a mi bella y admirable abuela.
I wasn't sure if this was a jewel so I did some research and it turns out that it is, although there are many designs a headband is considered a jewel for the hair or a crown to hold the hair back. So I wanted to make a very special one for my queen that would meet the requirements of this fabulous contest and at the same time please my beautiful and admirable grandmother.
Es la primera vez que comparto algo tejido aquí así que intentaré ser lo más explícita posible. Te invito a que no te pierdas este tutorial y a leer hasta el final! Vamos!
It's the first time I share something knitted here so I'll try to be as explicit as possible. I invite you not to miss this tutorial and to read until the end! Come on!
Materiales que necesitas:
- Tela estampada y unicolor.
- Hilo y aguja.
- Tijera.
- Goma elástica.
Materials you need:
- Printed and unicolor fabric.
- Thread and needle.
- Scissor.
- Elastic rubber.
(PROCEDIMIENTO)
Paso 01.
Bien amigos, para iniciar tomas la tela estampada y cortas 2 tiras de 7cm de ancho, el largo dependerá del tamaño que quieras hacer tu diadema, en mi caso fueron tiras de 7cm x 50cm. Utilizas las mismas medidas para cortar dos tiras más de tela negra. Aunque los colores que decidas utilizar o combinar se verán igual de bien, sin embargo te recomiendo que se traten de telas de distintos colores.
Step 01.
Well friends, to start you take the printed fabric and cut 2 strips of 7cm wide, the length will depend on the size you want to make your headband, in my case they were 7cm x 50cm. You use the same measurements to cut two more strips of black fabric. Although the colors you decide to use or combine will look just as good, however, I recommend that they be fabrics of different colors.
Paso 02.
Ahora lo que hacemos es gira las tiras y doblarlas a la mitad para luego coser todo el contorno, luego de esto la volteamos para su lado derecho y así obtener una tira de 3,5 cm; este paso lo repetimos con las demás piezas( tiras negras).
Step 02.
Now what we do is turn the strips and fold them in half and then sew the entire contour, after this we turn it to its right side and thus obtain a 3.5 cm strip; We repeat this step with the other pieces (black strips).
Paso 03.
Hecho esto es momento de empezar a trenzarlas, por lo tanto utilizamos algo para sujetarlas y mantenerlas firmes; a mí resultó muy bien utilizar un pisa papel. Entonces colocamos las tiras de telas estampadas a los lados y las negras en el centro, tal como lo ven en la imagen de arriba.
Step 03.
Once this is done, it is time to start braiding them, therefore we use something to hold them and keep them firm; it worked very well for me to use a paperweight. Then we place the patterned fabric strips on the sides and the black ones in the center, as you can see in the image above.
Paso 04.
La tira estampada del lado derecho (4) la pasamos por encima de la tira negra del centro(3). Luego pasamos la tira estampada del lado izquierdo (1) por debajo de la otra tira negra del centro(2) y por encima de la cuarta tira estampada (4). Esta misma tira la pasamos por debajo de la negra(2).
Step 04.
We pass the stamped strip on the right side (4) over the black strip in the center (3). Then we pass the patterned strip on the left side (1) under the other black strip in the center (2) and above the fourth patterned strip (4). We pass this same strip below the black one (2).
Paso 05.
Como ven, ahora nos han quedado las tiras negras en ambos lados por lo tanto repetimos el paso anterior, la tira negra del lado derecho pasará por encima de la tira estampada del centro y la del lado izquierdo pasará por debajo de la otra y la traemos hacia el centro pasándola por encima de la tira negra.
Step 05.
As you can see, now we have the black strips left on both sides, so we repeat the previous step, the black strip on the right side will go over the patterned strip in the center and the one on the left side will go under the other and we bring it to the center passing it over the black strip.
Paso 06
Para mejor compresión verás que en el centro se formara una X con la tira que estes trabajando. Continuamos poco a poco está linda trenza de cuatro con mucha paciencia hasta llegar al final procurando hacerlo lo más bonito posible.luego cosemos y sellamos ambos extremos. El resultado se verá como si se tratarán de varios lazos cruzados.
Step 06
For better compression you will see that an X will be formed in the center with the tape you are working on. We continue little by little this beautiful braid of four with a lot of patience until the end is reached, trying to make it as beautiful as possible. Then we sew and seal both ends. The result will look like several crossed loops.
Paso 07.
Luego haremos una tira más pero está vez más pequeña y le introducimos goma elástica. Está pieza las cosemos en ambos extremos del trenzado anterior muy bien.
Step 07.
Then we will make one more strip but this time smaller and we will introduce elastic rubber. We sew this piece at both ends of the previous braid very well.
Paso 08.
Para terminar la decoramos con alguna pedrería. Yo coloqué lindas cuencas blancas, parecidas a una pequeñas perlas, cosi una en cada centro del tejido.
Step 08.
To finish, we decorate it with some rhinestones. I placed beautiful white stones, similar to small pearls, sewing one in each center of the fabric.

El trenzado en tela se ve fabuloso, es una de las técnicas que aún no he intentado, solo he tejido con tres tiras. Gracias por dejarnos el paso a paso tan detallado.
