Good day my dear Needleworkers and to my Hive Family out there. I would like to share the good news and am happy to tell you that we will be having two additional members in the family. The first is my coming grandson on the following Month (May) and this coming month of July, she's our second little princess and my first great granddaughter! That make me too old already.

Since we're lockdown, I opted to keep myself busy and thought of making a set of long side pillows or you can call it Huggy pillows for our two babies. Hmmm. did I announce the good news already? I guess I did when I made that maternity bag! Oh my, forgive old granny bear my dears, she's only showing her age. hahaha!

Anyways, I made two sets of pillows for the two of our two babies. The above photo shows the covered pillows. It is safe to cover the foam to make it clean and to avoid the little particles from spreading when you wash it. It cannot be avoided that spilt milk will cause some dark smudge when they're nor washed immediately. In so doing, you can remove the outer cover. Therefore, you can make a hemming stitch manually, so you can easily remove the stitches just in case it needs washing. I will be making little pillow cases next time.

That's the dew foam slab I used. I measured the width first for equal cutting of four long pillows.

I have to trim the four sides to make it a little circular in appearance because if I make it round, nothing will be left. Granny will make their little hotdogs in the future.

After wrapping the foam with a yellow thin cloth, I finally made the second covering including that of the little pillow.

I will show you the pillow cases on my next post. Meantime, I would like to thank my needdlework family and to our mentors, @needlework,@neumannsalva, @shanibeer, @muscara and @marblely.

Thank you for dropping by. Despite this pandemic going on, let's still make life a beautiful one for the sake of our love ones. Keep safe everyone! God bless!

Till then,

@Sarimanok

salamuch!

Would you please give me one pillow?

Sure my dear. Shall I have it delivered now?

Ooo double celebration! Early congratulations to you! Wow.. great grandchild. That is so cool to have 4 generations in the family! May you have many, many more great grandchildren :)
Love the fabric you used. I have not seen these foam sold in stores although I know some mattresses, cushions and pillow uses it.
