Needlework Monday - Beaded bracelet - a free form design

in NeedleWorkMonday8 months ago

This post is about an unusual bracelet I recently made. I used peyote stitch, Delica beads in three different colors and lots of imagination. The design itself is free form. What's different about this bracelet is the fact that beaded bracelets are usually made by following a pattern. in this case there was no pattern. I thought about snake skin and acted like a painter! Cool stuff.

After I finished my 7 inches of bracelet, I realized I need to make a decorative kind of edge, so I made a picot with black seed beads, size 15/0.

I finished the bracelet with a simple toggle clasp, which I find easy to put it on my wrist by myself.

After I showed this bracelet to my friends, a few of them asked if I can make it in different colors, so I decided to go ahead and make a pattern. Now I have a new design in making!
