Hola needleworkers espero que estén muy bien esta semana 😊 como ya empecé mis vacaciones de la facultad estoy en plan tomar mis pendientes y ponerme al día con cosas que quiero hacer, una de ellas y creo que la más lejana que tengo es el proyecto puff, hace tiempo quiero hacer uno pero no para sentarse, sino para tener donde apoyar mis pies cuando estoy en la computadora jajaja, me gusta estar con los pies más elevados así que se me ocurrió que podría hacer un pequeño puff, pero no será tan pequeño ya que tiene que tener cierta altura y me puse a trabajar un poco en eso esta semana.

Para empezar, busque entre mis telas sobrantes de otros proyectos cosas que pudiera usar para esto, así que será un gran proyecto de reciclaje el que voy a encarar, la parte externa será toda de sobrantes y como relleno voy a usar ropa que ya no tiene ningún uso como ropa, así que será un trabajo largo porque no tengo muchas cosas definidas hasta ahora y debo sentarme a pensar cómo voy a resolver el relleno.

Como todo debe estar bien cortado busque un cartón algo duro y arme dos plantillas, una tiene unos 15 cm de largo por 10 de ancho y la otra es de 10*10, esto hace que pueda coser todo más ordenado, pero sobre todo tener todo cortado con la misma medida y para coserlo será de 1 cm de margen como siempre, voy a tomar telas planas así que no será un problema.

La idea es que la cubierta externa sea de tela de corazón, que es un lienzo estampado a mano por mí y otras telas sobrantes que vaya encontrando por ahí, tengo bastantes y todas son muy pequeñas para un proyecto de indumentaria, pero son muy buenas para un proyecto de este estilo donde voy midiendo y cortando a medida que lo necesito.

Corte algunas piezas y fui probando algún tipo de organización, esto me ayuda a ir viendo cuanto es lo que necesito, y me di cuenta que eran bastantes cuadrados los necesarios para hacer esto, así que es un trabajo que me va a tomar un tiempo, pero tampoco es que yo tenga mucho apuro para hacerlo.
I cut some pieces and tried some type of organization, this helps me see how much I need, and I realized that there were quite a few squares needed to do this, so it is a job that is going to take me a while, but it's not like I'm in much of a rush to do it.
Fui uniendo de a poco cuadrados estampados con lisos, la idea es que no haya saturación de ninguno, que sea liso estampado liso y así sucesivamente, por ahora estoy usando la tela de corazón naranja, y un poco de la azul, esto es un lienzo que se cose muy bien con cualquier tela. La tela blanca y negra son sobrantes de fibrana, lo que requiere todo esto antes de cortar siempre es que la tela este muy bien planchada para que el corte sea realmente prolijo.

Con maquina recta hice las uniones, pero es necesario dar un surfilado con overlook ya que las telas planas deshilachan muy fácilmente y quiero que este proyecto salga muy bien y sea duradero, así que luego de coser cada cuadrado entre si hay que hacer una pasada con overlook, quizás después de tener cada cuadrado grande listo haga algunas costuras de colores más decorativas.
I made the joints with a straight machine, but it is necessary to do an overlook surfing since flat fabrics fray very easily and I want this project to turn out very well and be durable, so after sewing each square together you have to make one pass with overlook, maybe after I have each large square ready I will do some more decorative colored stitching.
Para la base de esto voy a usar una tela más dura, y tengo bastantes retazos de denim de mis otros proyectos dando vueltas, así como también de pantalones que ya no están en uso ni tampoco sirven para donar, pero todavía me quedan definir las dimensiones y seguir cortando tela, no es que sea algo que pueda hacer de la noche a la mañana, pero si está siendo fácil de coser una vez que la tela está cortada.
For the base of this I'm going to use a harder fabric, and I have quite a few scraps of denim from my other projects lying around, as well as pants that are no longer in use nor suitable for donation, but I still have to define the dimensions and continue cutting fabric, not that it is something you can do overnight, but it is being easy to sew once the fabric is cut.
De acá en adelante voy a ir separando mis días entre cortar y coser, pero también quiero ir haciendo algunos proyectos que son más urgentes o más dinámicos, además también quiero trabajar en nuevos proyectos de ropa para barbie y probar nuevas técnicas de bordado, así que serán vacaciones de explorar y explotar mi lado creativo, pronto les mostrare más de como viene este avance.
